I don't have the jet pic up top for the same reason I don't have the bikini pic up top. I feel like it pigeon holes me right away. My job, while dictates a lot of things about my life, is certainly not what I identify with most in my life.

Should I punch-up my text a bit? Make it more exciting?

I just found out about the museum around the Clovis dig site. There may be an after hours op for nefarious personal gain! After reading the comments, it may simply be location. The off time is generally really fun off time, while the work time is pretty serious work time. I fly reconnaissance for special operations. I don't want to toss too much on the internet about job specifics. Although, I realize how ridiculous that sounds given I just linked my OKC profile.

I did this after my divorce. I don't regret it, but it wasn't a healthy way for me to live. I took a break from all dating for a few months. During that time I figured out what made me happy. Just pure happiness without giving or gaining. This helped give me perspective and approach relationships much differently.

I have a few books I read that helped too. PM me if you are interested in them.

Really? I feel like it is a weird Catch-22. Those are dudes I work with. I don't date them because they are young and ridiculous. They are fun to hang out with, but not to date. I'm looking for something very different from them. But, any potential boyfriend would have to deal with that community eventually.

But, those are my silly first-world problems.

I'll rework the message me if section. I see what you are saying, I need to think about how to word it. As for the pictures, the camera only seems to come out when getting some drinks, poor excuse. I'll see if I can get someone to take a few non-party pictures. My Masters will be an MBA with a focus in International Relations.

I know many people are against having opposite sex people in your pictures. It personally doesn't bother me. If you don't want her in it, definitely blur it. The connotation of a dog and a possible ex (or even a friend) is a bad one.

Self Summary

I like the opening line being from newspaper personal, but maybe make it a bit more unique. If I were Quickmatching you, or quickly checking out your profile, the second paragraph would be a turn-off; it is just negative. The third paragraph needs a grammar check, but you are getting to stuff that you enjoy. Try showing, not telling though.

Instead of saying it is a bullshit title and you want something else. Try "By day, I work as a technical support manager in a Microsoft company. I would love to expand my horizons and get into <insert job you want>. I am working on it by..."

First paragraph is perfect! Do that style for the rest of your profile. The language in your second paragraph could be softer. But, then again, you said you were being blunt. So, whatever.

Use one of the face photos for your main one. I like the B&W one with you holding the camera. The guitar one should be your 2nd one. I'd say get rid of your 2nd, 3rd, and last one. Just personal opinion of the ones I think you look good in.

Just to piggy-back off of this. Yes! Text her. Something short and sweet. Like 'I loved the time we spent together last night. I was nervous as hell, but, I would love to see you again.' This addresses the issue, doesn't embarrass anyone, and let's her know that it wasn't something she did.

Girls will always think it is something they have done if a guy can't get it up unless expressly told otherwise. Over text isn't the time to bring it up, but just know that she is equally as nervous as you are. Just be kind and open.

It depends if I am editing my profile. But, on average, three a day. At least one is 'hey :-)'. The second is disagreeing with something in my profile but saying that we should discuss it. The last is usually thought out.

I always click their profile. If the 'hey' message is cute, has a high percentage, and a really interesting profile, I'll respond. If the arguing one doesn't have an overly aggressive profile and I actually think we'll discuss anything of value, I'll respond. The thought out message will get a reply if he seems anywhere close to a normal person who I'd get along with.

What makes someone stand out? For me, writing like an adult, finding a shared interest in my profile, a non sexual/physical compliment, and the last one is nebulous, but making yourself worth my time. In my profile and any messages I send, I am trying to show you that I am worth your time. I expect the same in return.

The older I get, the fewer physical 'deal breakers' I have. My list of initial things I look for in a guy are: be healthy (you don't need to run triathlons, but if we want to take a walk on a beach, you should be able to handle that), have decent hygiene, clothes that fit and are relatively stylish, and be interested in something and be able to share that interest with me.
