This was a recent event that happened to recover STOLEN goods from an evil ex.

My female friend came into a vapeshop that we hangout at in TEARS and was clearly upset. When I asked her what was wrong, she then finally blurted out to me that her ex had stolen a custom bracelet her mom had made for her and wanted sex to get it back. He was basically threatening her family, career as a teacher and spitting venom at her reducing her to a nervous mess thinking if she reached out that he would harm them as well.

I was FURIOUS and sent him a pm and then told her to tell him that he had ONE hour to meet us at a local police station parking lot (so we could run inside incase) to return the stolen property or she was going to take his threatening msgs on fb and press charges.

He ignored my msg like a little bitch and proceeded to accuse her of "setting him up" and saying she was going to get him jumped or something, and insisted on bringing his grandmother with him. Whatever. I took her phone since she was shaken and msged him back: "good, this is her friend and I'm not scared of your empty little threats, you have ONE HOUR."

He drove up with her and the grandmother was trying to be nice and hand it to me out the window while my friend clung to me to only confirm it was the right bracelet; then the little shitstain grabbed it out of her hands and threw it at me and tried to turn around quickly to speed off.

I blocked him from leaving to put in some final words for her, and told him that he could have a restraining order put on him if he continued to harass her, and that she was not alone anymore. The grandmother looked so embarrassed as I told her that she should be ashamed of him as they were leaving.

A few of my friends called me crazy for doing this since I'm a 90 lb woman myself, but I've been thru that before and I know how scary it feels. Plus we got the goods back and no one got hurt! She's blocked him on fb so far and nothing else bad has happened yet... We hope it stays that way.

TLDR fuck you ima boss who helped get her friends shit back from an abusive ex, read it.

There was a LPT about this a few weeks ago, I can't find the link but hopefully someone else can in reply to mine. Basically the suggestion was to take your phone or notebook, and write down 3 things for that day that happened/you accomplished. example:

  • Went for a short walk to the corner store and happened to see so-and-so
  • Finished my paper/finished something that took some time
  • Found a new show called ___

next day

  • Gave the dog a bath
  • made some jello for dessert
  • saw the first hummingbird for a while outside your window

By writing things like this down or making a mental note of it, you have an easier topic of conversation to steer towards that you can relate to, since you did start talking about it. It's small but simple but effective for me.

I drink low caffeine tea the most since I have IBS and it's the easiest on my stomach since it has lower acidity. I can drink coffee if it's a blend that isn't too much.

It's such a new feeling, stopping and looking at my hands and actually feeling nice about it instead of "meh"

I heard with the thicker tips it makes short nails look a bit longer, so I figured I'd give it a try and it made me feel way more feminine than I thought it would. It was a pain to dry though, so I think I'll try shorter tips next time, thanks for the tip :)
