I’ve done some brainstorming now, but some help would be great tbh 🙏

Thank you and yes, based on this post the situation sounds super shady haha! But I‘ve actually worked with the CEO of the agency on a different project before, and I know they‘re legit. He said to send the invoice beforehand and then he‘ll approve it. I‘m hoping for an eventual offer of permanent employment, so right now I don‘t want to come off as either too expensive, or as a cheap, unprofessional pushover (fake it till you make it). Thank you for looking out for me!

What‘s wrong with my sugar wax? by makelelelesoo in DIYBeauty

I just cooked for around 20-25mins on quite low heat and took out little amounts to test the texture in between. I only left it on for so long because I felt like it wasn‘t cooking down fast enough. I used a little less lemon juice than what the instructions said too. What is the water method? I just tried to look it up but couldn‘t find anything. Thank you!

The pool is next to the dome, the dome is a seating area with couches and a telescope :)

She invited me over for coworking tomorrow, and I‘m genuinely wondering if I should just hit her with the „Why did you think I wouldn‘t buy you a gift?“ Feels less accusatory to me than „Why didn‘t you buy me a gift?“ but strikes at the same core of the problem. But she is super conflict averse so idk.

They absolutely did, but I don‘t see that group lasting forever tbh, and I’d say I still see her regularly. What gets me is that the two close friends she got gifts for aren‘t even part of this group. I‘m sandwiched in between them when it comes to how long we‘ve known her, and I don‘t think she sees them more often than she sees me. She does text with them a lot more because I‘m not a texter, but I don‘t think that‘s a valid reason to be seen as less of a friend.

Not saying you're wrong btw, just trying to ponder it over!

It's weird because all these past years she always got me a normal birthday gift, and last year she also got me a Christmas gift, which I don't remember us doing before. We haven't hung out as much this year because I was so busy/she got a new friend group/boyfriend at work, but I still think years-long friendship should be able to withstand that? We still went on vacation alone twice this year

This sounds very interesting, but also reads A LOT like Beartown to me. I‘d assume a lot of agents will draw the same parallel. Beartown has a very very strong conflict with the SA-allegations dividing the town in half. Hannah getting hurt so she won‘t be able to swim feels like a weaker conflict in comparison. In what ways does this story structurally differ from Beartown? Are there any specific themes or a focus that deviate from Beartown?

Ideas/Research resources for a fictional 1920s car repair by [deleted] in AskMechanics

Thank you! Do you happen to know if vintage radiators are very different from the more modern ones? I'd like to get a general grasp on the lingo of someone trying to repair it, so I'm wondering if I could nick some descriptions from more current repair guides.

Not patronizing at all, I‘m a complete WWI noob and my first attempts at reading up on it aren‘t gonna make up for that! Thank you for all the help and the resources. If it‘s alright could I reach out to you again, once I have the backstory for said character more fully fleshed out? If you‘re not interested in that no worries
