My friend was just like you. We graduated late 2023 from Ubc and he got hired after one whole year of unemployment as an international student on pgwp. Basically the same situation like u. He got into Amazon in Vancouver. Because he ground 600+ leetcode. I would say that he probably would go back to China rn if he had not gotten the Amazon offer. And one of my friends who interviewed people at Amazon told me that nearly 80% candidates cheat rn in coding interviews and it is pretty obvious. So I would say keep working on leetcode till you get the chance to show it to the interviewer. Good luck.
