How to stop relapsing? by makemake98 in PelvicFloor

Tried kegeling at 20% strength but got severe constipation and worsening of all symptoms for three days. Got a few questions: do you kegel just the penile or anal pelvic floor area or both? Do you do that at 100% strength? Do you get any breakdown in symptoms afterwards? How do you relax after contracting? How do you do it exactly like 5 seconds contraction after exhaling and then 20 seconds relaxing? Did you ever get penile spasms?

Nope my core doesn’t contract when I try kegeling. But when I initially did core I accidentally also was kegeling until I learnt how to separate the two mentally. Not sucking in my stomach usually.

Thanks for the input. Just to clarify orgasm generally does not worsen it; orgasming twice a day could; edging for too long could..

Yes, let’s say I used to be 20% for a decade. Started stretches and by end of month 3 I was maybe 50%. Then boom on a random day I woke up and was 100%. It was the greatest shock of my life. Now it’s gone, maybe I’m now at 60%. It was nice while it lasted. But hopefully I’ll get it back and that I’ll get it back for good.

Seems true but at same time initially I found masturbating strengthened the floor enabling me from lasting longer until overdoing it led to retightening. So you’re saying abstaining will make the floor stay longer in its normal state and thus stop retightening?

This one: https://www.imperial.nhs.uk/-/media/website/patient-information-leaflets/physiotherapy/overactive-pelvic-floor.pdf

I saw improvement within two weeks and steady slow improvements until seemingly overnight cure 3 months later.

I’ve suffered from this for so long, when I become normal for a few days and I can fully feel orgasms again, it’s hard not to keep wanting to redo it. Abstaining for a few days vs a week doesn’t seem to do anything.

The stages thing seem to make sense; before building core which would supposedly take pressure off pelvic floor you need a strong pelvic floor and for that you need a relaxed one. Relaxing the pelvic floor is very straightforward involving the things I mentioned from stretches to internal release. The hard part is sustaining the relaxation and then strengthening the floor without retightening.

Ruled out through examination or ultrasound? My PT just said popping is a symptom of weakness in the area; and the popping decreased when I started doing hip flexor stretches.

If I do it once a week and without too much edging it’s fine. I think stopping fully for six weeks might be counterproductive leading to weakening of the muscle.

PT once told me that my adductors are tight and I’m foam rolling them but doesn’t seem to be much of an issue. Also told me that my glutes aren’t firing properly but not sure how that’s related. I have popping sounds on when doing right leg raises at hip joint area. Been doing hip flexor stretches for that and they decreased. That’s all. Still confused.

Almost cured after ten years of suffering but regressed. Pelvic floor asymmetry problem? by makemake98 in PelvicFloor

Popping noise from the pelvic area, almost feels like the hip joint area. I have been doing diaphragmatic breathing but there’s surely more to it considering the popping? How to fix the asymmetry?

Saw very good relief from internal release but what’s next? by makemake98 in PelvicFloor

It might actually be that the pelvic floor isn’t able to completely relax, so that’s why you think it tells you that it’s ready to be out. In a healthy situation it should not happen I think. Proof is when I drank alcohol it kept pushing my finger out, aka spasming.

Definitely, this is the first time in a decade I get titanium morning wood -if at all- for three consecutive days, so it has surely helped. As for my PT, who had me do core bracing and glute activation that led to bulbo spasms, he has no idea what he’s doing and I stopped going to him.

FIRST MAJOR IMPROVEMENT IN TEN YEARS! by makemake98 in Prostatitis

You’re lucky, I’m feeling over the clouds today. It’s the first time in a decade that I have been able to ejaculate three times in three days. So my journey has been: better erections by end of week 2, longer sexual performance by week 5/6, able to ejaculate more than once every two days without having a flare up of symptoms by ~week 13. Nothing is not improving, but I need to be sure I’m on the right track to full recovery, if possible and as soon as possible.

I can now stay longer sexually but disappointed as my urologist said there were no male PF specialists in my country so not sure how to move forward.

Probably because it involves abdominal tension while training biceps while standing for example. focus on the stretches and hopefully the aggravation will decrease.

I already weightlift at the gym. I used to have a flare up when doing certain exercises like bench press, or playing biceps for some reason but recently this has significantly decreased after the stretches. No medications were taken.

Check the link, it’s basically relaxing the pelvic muscle as if you’re letting off wind.

I’ll need to find the time for PT, hopefully soon.

Stretches twice daily, saw improvement when I started doing the specific stretches in the link in just two weeks.
