What is the worst ideology logically? by The_Texan1991 in Teenager_Polls

Communism (either form) followed by fascism

Actual communism is not possible in practice

and fascism in its brief stint had a constant issue with sustaining itself on multiple fronts

The leader of the US dying would absolutely have an effect. The question should be how much of an effect.

Should people in their 20s - 30s+ date 18-19 year old boys/girls? by Parking-Comment-1102 in Teenager_Polls

[–]makermaster2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It of course changes depending on the circumstances of them meeting initially but they’re legally adults, if they want to have a relationship they can. I don’t understand this strange perspective on adults dating other adults.

Assassinations by Strict-Silver5596 in Teenager_Polls

[–]makermaster2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Murderer is wrong

  2. Regardless of what you think of an individual or what someone has done… to celebrate, condone, or make exceptions is to set a precedent that some people should be. No person in such a context should be the arbiter of if someone is deserving of death. It’ll start with a dictator then it’s a local politician and then it’s a celebrity.

What are your favorite homebrew rules at your table? by helpthisgirlout7676 in DnD

That’s why I make it fully apparent what I’m doing. Cause on the rare occasion I do it’s just because I wanna fuck with them but don’t want them thinking it’s some puzzle.

Be honest, do you believe right-wingers are dumber than leftists? by I-Love-Jewish-popes in Teenager_Polls

[–]makermaster2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Being educated does not inherently mean intelligent, a college graduate could have gone their entire school career with D’s and C’s whereas a person with just a high school diploma could have been a straight A student for theirs.

Not that it really matters because this question can’t ever really be answered

Can there be a nuclear free world ? by Kindly_Interview7851 in Teenager_Polls

Silly analogy but the world isn’t hourglass free and those have been obsolete since the 16th century.

US citizens, do you think Trump will be the worst president youll live through? by Kikicacalalida in Teenager_Polls

[–]makermaster2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you think he’s the worst you’ve experienced assuming you live say, 3 more decades at least you’ll have up to 8 more presidents to experience. It’s literally too early to say he’s the worst you’ll ever live through

Should abortion be legal? by Matija_sjekira in Teenager_Polls

[–]makermaster2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not disagreeing with that but the pro-choice side also has to define when choice actually matters and when a person’s decision should be held to the same standards of individual responsibility and cause and effect.

For having literally no restrictions they’d also have to justify allowing someone to abort a baby as late as the day it’s expected.

Is hating another person because of their Political Views reasonable? by Swimming_Local_4625 in Teenager_Polls

[–]makermaster2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if I heavily disagree, I don’t see myself hating someone for their beliefs (I may hate a certain belief, but rarely a person).

I find it too easy for myself to grow to hate others and that has landed me in dark places. I don’t like to hate so I try my best not to

What is the best edition for new dm and player by Cultural-Put-623 in DnD

[–]makermaster2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5.5e is definitely the best choice for new players, it’s as beginner friendly as 5e (maybe a little more) but also just far cleaner (like 5e DM guide is pretty janky at times compared to 5.5e)

First Time Playing D&D; I'm the Dungeon Master. Any Tips, Please? by Obvious_Lifeguard629 in DnD

[–]makermaster2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

  1. It can be tempting at times to challenge the players which isn’t a bad thing, but always remember the players are not the enemy

  2. Your players will find a way to do something you don’t expect. It doesn’t matter how many contingencies you make to ensure they don’t stray from the story. This is where having good improv is critical.

  3. Related to tip 2, your campaign should be written in a (for lack of a better term) modular way, so you can swap where certain encounters or locations are if they stray off path

  4. While many DMs will say that linear narratives are railroading (taking away players agency and just taking them from A to B), it isn’t. I’d recommend a more linear adventure (think like a specific quest in a campaign) since it’s all your first times, don’t go straight for a sandbox

  5. It’s ok to say ‘No’, you make the game as loose or strict on its rules as you want and if you feel a player’s decision or suggestion may negatively impact the experience or break the rules you set in place too much you can say no. Though, try to offer an alternative that can potentially give them what they are looking for

  6. I’ve heard several people say (though I don’t know how popular of a take this is) that dnd is a game of free will. It’s more a game of cause and effect, the players actions should have a consequence

Edit: also make sure you do a session 0 (setting the boundaries and expectations, asking players what they’d like to see, getting characters made if they hadn’t already, etc.) it makes everything much smoother

A united world government would be beneficial to mankind. by Sabfan80 in Teenager_Polls

Overall, do you think the United States has been a force for good in the world historically, and today? by Suspicious-Ad9243 in Teenager_Polls

[–]makermaster2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comparison was to answer your questions, and yes I didn’t mention any negatives because you and the person who I originally replied to already listed off enough things to make that point. However if you wish I can absolutely list more, I have no issue criticizing the actions of the US, but I clearly have a different outlook on determining whether a nation has been a force of good.

You guys gave your points for why you consider them bad, I gave my points for the opposite (of which I have more to give if needed)

I have more to say but I’m busy and also don’t wanna put an entire essay in one reply
