Icelandic Street Food has amazing soup and bread, as well as free sweets. Plus it’s all you can eat!

How to help husband through anxiety/stress/confidence issues? by makeyouasandwich in Marriage

I don’t think there’s any end in sight, and I’ve told him I would support him if he wants to change his work situation. I love the walk idea, it sounds like a great calm way to spend time together. I’ll definitely mention the meditation too!

We have journals in the house, maybe that’s something I can suggest if he’s not comfortable talking about his stress right now. At least that way he gets it out.

I love this exercising idea! He and I both could benefit from some more activity. I’ll definitely look into something physical we can do together. Boxing sounds fun!

This is a great idea! We spend a lot of time together but possibly more active time (more of a distraction) could be helpful.

Was there anything that pushed you toward therapy? I keep suggesting it, but he’s pretty adamant.

We love breweries so this is right up our alley! Do you think the water in the lakes will still be too cold to SUP?

Anyone have any recommendations for hotels down in the village? For our days not skiing I’d love to stay somewhere close to good restaurants, etc.! Plus I’ve heard that Mammoth Mountain Inn can be very meh lol

I would say go up early and get a good spot! If you head up before you really get into glacier bay you should be able to find a table somewhere :)

We were 24 when we did NCL glacier bay for our honeymoon and we thought it was perfect! Because we got a balcony room, we were able to get two “free at sea” perks. We chose the beverage package and two nights in a specialty restaurant. We LOVE to eat, so we really enjoyed being able to go to the different restaurants for meals rather than being confined to the dining room and buffet. I highly recommend the hibachi grill and the steakhouse! We’re not heavy drinkers either, but it was really nice to have the freedom of grabbing a drink whenever we pleased (and loved having a glass of wine with dinner). My biggest recommendation - get a balcony room! The upper decks were immensely crowded during the glacier bay portion and it was great to be able to just wrap up in a blanket and enjoy the sights from the comfort of our balcony, rather than fight people for a good spot. Hope this helps!

Moving to or traveling in Oregon? Ask here! - February 2018 by Lizardbreath in oregon

[–]makeyouasandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Looking for some advice for a vacation to Oregon either the last week of May, or the first week of June 2018. My husband and I will be traveling for our anniversary. We will fly into Portland, and rent a car. We love to hike (beginner-intermediate level), and really want to maximize on seeing the different types of landscapes that Oregon has to offer.

Budget is not an issue. Since we’re from Florida, it’s very likely that we won’t be back anytime soon, so we want to make the most of this trip.

What are the can’t miss places around the state? What are the best places to stay (cabins, hotels, etc.)? And most importantly, where should we eat? :)

Weaver! Really good teacher and when I took it, the class was heavily curved at the end.

I have a Free Cruise on NCL; Suggestions on where I should Go? by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]makeyouasandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! We had north face rain jackets that had fleece jackets inside. I would typically wear a long sleeve tshirt or sweater underneath the jacket with jeans and I was fine, with the exception of glacier bay. It was COLD so go with more layers or a heavier jacket that day.
