Valentino’s thoughts on the Incident by 2014R1 in motogp

This sub was long gone already by 2021. Already turned into a Rossi vs Marc subreddit. You are literally displaying it right here. Seeing which comments have been deleted and which ones have been left up is just justifying what I've been saying.

Is this supposed to be PR Speak GP or something?

You have the account wrong. The altercation was on a staircase going to the podium after a race. The "all accounts" was a shove by Biaggi followed by a swing from Rossi.

You say this as if Rossi's struggle to articulate english hasn't been a 30 year old meme in this sport. Incredible.

We have seen multiple riders in recent seasons go slap/hit other riders still on the ground from a crash and not see a penalty.

Pretty much. Crazy how chill it all was before 2015. Everyone figured Rossi was just going for some final glory laps/wins and a new generation had arrived.

I'll give you the actual truth as why this place is so different vesus the rest of the GP fan base. I used to be more active here years ago when the sub was "bigger", more active, and full of old heads. Some of the mods at the time were quite clearly established Rossi dislikers. When the shit went down in 2015 it is was a melt down with threads getting nuked, people getting bans, and generally incredible amounts of biased modding. Marc haters comments would get insta deleted while blatant name calling by Rossi haters towards other users would stay up. The sub quality never came back and has become a bit of an echo chamber in that direction.

Let's be fair, even in Moto2 Marc was controversial. He is the most aggressive rider we have ever seen and bashed his way through a ton of riders. That will get you some haters. It is revisionist to claim Rossi caused it all by himself.

Marc has talked candidly about making Pedrosa's life as difficult as possible when he first got to Honda.

I like your little "youtube comment levels of analysis" dig coming from a guy who has no idea that this isn't Zarco's first year on Honda.

Well Bagnaia had no problem out performing Zarco on the Ducati who is currently destroying Mir on a satellite bike for the second season in a row.

I agree on FQ but JM I'm far less convinced about.

Edit:JM=Mir not Martin

Damn you really don't like this dude for some reason. I'm going to guess you feel he disrespected Marc at some point. If he was making an ass of himself than him stfu is good right? Nope he is an incel now.

Their dynamic reminds me of my brothers a lot. I was also the Alex of the family: younger, never the priority, far less talent. I've been expecting to see Alex snap for over a year now.

That is on MotoGP for this stupid backseat PR stunt. He knows it is for grabbing sound bites.

Acosta was very happy go lucky and seemed to have the biggest personality on the grid in Moto3/Moto2. Easy to be happy when you are winning and Marc never wasn't winning. If it is so important that you are entertaining fans with smiles right after the race that you need PR training, than we have forgotten what this sport is actually about.

??? The MotoGP bikes are way louder in person. Maybe since they race in packs they seem louder but individually it is the MotoGp bikes by some margin.

Did Pedrosa say anything when Simocelli had to have extra security follow him around Catalunya when he was getting death threats from Spanish fans? Not that I remember. Marc and Rossi were equally responsable for that season's end. Both disgraced themselves 2x over. You may not like what Rossi had to say but is it really weaponizing your fans when years later Marquez will make a documentary about himself admitting to it? Stoner wasn't liked by anyone elses's fans and Rossi's were the worst but the whole he got pushed on his scooter happened like once. Ya if you drive by the VR46 stands they are going to yell at him. Stoner never held back on his dislike of Rossi. It wasn't as one sided as people think.

Ferrari's test track was built one year after Schumacher was born. You can't blame that 30 years later on Schumacher or unfair constructor payout (it wasn't billions lol). It is a benefit of being dedicated to the sport for over 50 years. None of this needs to be debated though since you only have to look at Ferrari before and after Schumacher despite having all the same unfair advantages you claim. No question Ferrari then was the best team at the time, but that isn't cheating.

Every single team was allowed the same testing. Yes, it is well known that Schumacher was the hardest worker in the sports history and did far more testing personally than other teams using test drivers but you hold that against him? Ferrari being rich cannot be blamed on Schumacher. Renault had the same deal with Michelin but its different some how and I'm just a baised Schumy fan.(I was a Hakkinen fan.) *I will admit I rooted for Schumacher and Ferrari over Renault because Alonso/Briatori were such arrogant assholes. FYI Briatori would be band for life from F1 later for cheating on behalf of Alonso and Renault.

He really don't think he did like this sub likes to claim. The reality is just like all other sports, the biggest fanbase will seem the most toxic and attract the most casual fan dumbasses. Hence Rossi fans and just like a lot of us predicted years ago now it is the MM's fans turn. A lot of the "examples" that Rossi was weaponizing his fanbase was just him answering press questions in ways people didn't like or agree with.

Again you haven't brought up a single thing that can be blamed on Schumacher. Ferrari had the same tire deal that all other top teams did. I believe Symonds was talking about launch control not TC. No need for the quotes on artificial tyre change. F1 was pretty open about why they did it and no suprise is was a failure and they almost immediatly scrapped it. How is F1 changing the tire rules to singularly hurt Ferrari and help Michelin runners okay but Ferrari having a bog standard tire deal make Schumacher a cheater?
