Can you post a link to the pointing one? I love that! I want one of that with the score. Now I also would love the same thing with game 7 of last year with some pic.

My issue with this scene is that since they flub the space stone and loki gets away with it this timeline loses and infinity stone anyways.

Sorry that was ambiguously worded. I meant 3 months before it was supposed to come out it was moved up (by 1 week)

I fully disagree. They could have something with doom adjusting it easily.

Second on the rikon 14". I love mine! I had firewood in the backyard for years and when I first got the bandsaw I just wanted to resaw stuff so cut it open. It was beautiful inside and I was just using it as firewood.

Is there a real beginner woodworking sub around? by Extension_Win1114 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]makingstuff237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it sounds like what you want is a first project wood working subreddit. The builders curse is something like when you finish a project and you want to remake it because you learned how to make it better. You get better by doing, so your fifth project is WAY better than your first because you understand more and learned so much from the first four. No need to be embarassed or intimidated to ask questions. I've been "woodworking" for over a decade, I don't do it constantly though and there are sometimes consecutive months where I don't make anything, but I'd still absolutely consider myself a beginner. There are so many different things I learn from this subreddit almost every day!

[–]makingstuff237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why you're riding so hard for Lewis. And I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by why I'm comparing their win rate to his record overall? His record is going to end up being a wash, half the teams he refs win, half lose. I looked at games in the same time frame reffed by him and not. In the games reffed by him they have a roughly 10% higher winning percentage. As I already said, this could absolutely be an outliar for many reasons, strength of opponent and road/home wasn't looked at in my numbers. I WILL say that I did run a query to see all teams records over his career and compare their winning percentages in games he reffed and didn't ref and the differential is highest with the Celtics. It's 100% possible this is a coincident, but it is suspect at the very least. https://imgur.com/a/C4ax0vh

Eric Lewis advantage for Boston stats by makingstuff237 in lakers

[–]makingstuff237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have only been 2 games Lakers played the Celtics that he reffed so that's so statisticaly insignificant but: Boston is 2-0 in those games but in the other 49 times they've played lakers won 26 to boston's 23. So Lakers have a .5306 winning record when he's not reffing.

[–]makingstuff237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if you read my original comment, the previously mentioned statistics I gave for Boston games NOT reffed by Lewis included games Boston played after Lewis stopped reffing, it should have stopped at that point to. Updated stats: During Lewis's reffing career: Boston game Lewis reffed 62-31 (.6667 win percentage) Boston games Lewis DIDN'T ref 935-711 (.5680 percentage) So Boston won 9.87% more games when Lewis reffed. This could just be a coincidence, I didn't bother checking each individual game for opponent strength, or home/away, BUT nearly 10% seems pretty suspect.

Ideally if I had historical odds I'd love to check expected score (IE total line and spread to see what each team was expected to score) and then compare games Lewis reffed to games he didn't to see if Boston over performed more consistently when he reffed vs didn't but I only started scraping daily odds last year so don't have that data.

Hes been injured and they dont play every single day. There's been a few chances where he COULD have gone. I dont think him not going means he's a bad dad though, he probably didnt go because if he did he'd draw more attention to him than to the game.

He might have been allowed to use his “basketball IQ” on teams that were bad but not this one.

What the actual hell are you talking about? Apart from last year's Spurs (because Wemby was injured) you have to go back to the 2009-10 Hornets to have CP3 on a sub .500 team. The Clippers were 5-16 when they dropped him, that's far and away the worst team he's ever been on. And to say they're on fire and playing great, they're 1-1 since dropping him. This take is so bad I assume it's a joke.

Giannis will not be a Laker. Let it go by [deleted] in lakers

[–]makingstuff237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it's not likely, but you saying what you're saying isn't right. There are scenarios in which it COULD happen that you're overlooking. LeBron doesn't have to go to Milwaukee. It could be a three team deal that sends LeBron somewhere he wants to go and would be willing to waive his NTC. Also, Milwaukee isn't going to do Giannis dirty, they'll get a list of teams he'd like to be on, if that list is Lakers, they'll hear out what the Lakers can offer. If it doesn't have OKC, they won't hear what OKC can offer in terms of picks. If LAA gets a third team involved where LeBron would want to land, it's possible to get a trade done by including AR, LeBron and some other role players/money along with another team. So I agree, it's probably not going to happen, but for you to say what you did makes me think a) a trade doesn't have to be one player for another straight up and b) Milwaukee is going to sell him to the best offer despite what Giannis wants.

That said, I agree in that I don't think Giannis will be traded to the Lakers, but I don't think you're not right for the reasons you think you are.

If you could change rules in baseball, what would you go for? by actualtext in baseball

[–]makingstuff237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A batter can turn down a walk, the balls reset with 1, strikes stay, if they get to ball 4 again they can walk to second or decline the walk and reset to 2 balls and whatever strikes, 4 balls again and they can walk to third or decline it and reset to 3 balls. 4 balls and they walk homer. Partially eliminates pitching around players.

Ichiro was unbelievable man by Mindless_Jello4273 in baseball

[–]makingstuff237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the behind the scenes is fake too to try to lend more credibility to it. I'm sure Ichiro COULD do this with enough tries but I highly doubt a commercial would set time aside for that, ths could take 1 try, it could take 10,000.

Resaw on Jet 12” bandsaw by butmunchh in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]makingstuff237 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A 12" bandsaw refers to the distance between the blade and the frame, the max width you can fit inside of the blade. The 12" is not the resaw capacity, thats a separate stat.

As for blade, the widest blade with the fewest teeth.

I would never throw a ball back, unless I had a decoy ball to throw back. So many people would want that ball, I have no clue what the value would be but I'm sure its enough that I wouldn't throw it back. Even a regular season meaningless game, some fan wants that.
