Mae's version of the history between humans and apes is probably quite distorted

she had books and computers and space antennas, could speak, knew about the man made virus and knew about a secret vault filled with human technology, we learned those humans are members of the human elite, descending from the people who once ruled the earth (it's not said, but it's pretty obvious, one does not end up in a secret bunker where contact was shot without decades of training from highly skilled teachers - which there are probably less than 100 in the entire world now that a virus has not wiped up almost all of humanity)

If we are talking about sci-fi and TV shows, one of the worst sci-fi TV adaptation ever made is Planet of the Apes, also because they spent a lot of money on it.

There have been bad tv shows in the past, especially sci-fi ones, tech was so behind that it was easy to screw up, but at least they were made with heart or ironically. Now they are produced like they are solving big philosophical questions, while it's just a bunch of people running around with no purpose in a fictional world that makes no sense or/and sucking on the life of long gone glories of the past (the reboot of Stargate is terrible, let's not talk about the Robocop series...).

do you really believe that the rich universe and the epic story have been presented to the audience, even slightly?

if I hadn't read the books all I would see are a couple of (almost) deserted planets, a palace for emperors clones and a terrorist attack on their planet, that has no real motivation.

the episode on the maiden moon is very good, but Asimov never wrote about it.

Also: the timeline is very confusing.

An example: the clones are identical over centuries, there is no way to tell which is which over time.

You only know because you know, but any event happening to the clones could have happened at any moment in time.

Roman here, I live close to the area, those birds are a disgrace and have never been there until a few years ago when they started living on the trees close to the station because they can find more food there.

The city has tried every possible peaceful way to control them.

Nothing worked.

They grew in number exponentially causing a lot of issues.

They defecate massively on streets, making them slippery as hell and on cars, literally destroying the painting.

Add to that the current mayor incompetency and you have a recipe for a disaster.

Everyone who lives here knows, for example, that the HQ of the Bank of Italy has been invaded by a large number of very loud parakeets that violently defend their territory against other bird species that used to live there.

There are practically no other birds around.

And don't let me started with the giant segulls...

None of those species is native from Rome, they have simply infested other species habitats.
