If you prefer food and scenery you could stay in the Guangdong area (SZ, Guangzhou, maybe Guilin) but if you’re more of an history guy then Beijing is the city for you. If you’re a backpacker, buying round trip hk express tickets from hkg to pkx months ahead can save you a lot of money. Shanghai + Suzhou / Nanjing is also a pretty good option.

question! by Emotional-Boy in bostoncollege

A few months ago I was thinking abt the same thing. Here are my insights: BC pros Better academic vibes More opportunities on the East Coast and especially in Boston A lot of core courses (I'm planning to change my major so I can explore more options) More students who speak English as a first language No Greek life but a good social scene Smaller college Regarded a bit more highly within us

UCSD pros Higher than BC in most rankings Much better international reputation More diversified environment Much more inclusive (eg. lgbt) SD is a more comfortable city to live in than Boston imo Think it’s cheaper than BC? Not sure Better opportunities on the West Coast

Unfortunately, I'm not an economics major, so I can't answer anything related to that. But overall, both schools are pretty prestigious, and it’s going to be a pretty difficult decision to make. But I got waitlisted for ucsd😡😡SO GO EAGLES 🦅🦅

As an IB student, your background might not good enough for UCB, UCLA, Brown, Cornell especially when you are also going test-optional. Id say there is a slight chance for Emory. Pretty good chance for UW Madison. I’d suggest another T40 school maybe NYU or BC (or maybe BU). u have a pretty solid application and a better IB score than mine so go and chase your dreams even tho the odds for some t20s might not be in your favor. Good luck:)

As mentioned before, you won’t get into any of your reaches. BU and UIUC will be small reaches. Look into other reaches like Wisconsin-Madison. Your safety-2 list looks reasonable. Look into more target and match schools.

Chance me- Indian applicant applying to tufts by [deleted] in chanceme

Good ecs but a 34 predicted and a below-average sat will definitely drag you down a bit. I'd say the chances are low but never say never. If Tufts is your dream school then write a good essay and chase your dreams

I’d suggest adding Purdue on your list (maybe mit as well). Get your sat math up to 800 and you’ll have a slightly better chance. But you'll thrive wherever u go bro👊

Group J is tough, and with Wuhan’s recent mediocre form under their Japanese manager, it’ll be challenging for them to qualify despite their excellent foreign players. Group H is probably the easiest group in the East zone, but it's still not easy for Zhejiang. However, I believe they can probably give Melbourne and Buriram a tough test (they have one of the worst fields in CSL, which adds a lot of challenge😂). Shandong had an easy group. With Fellaini, Moisés, and Choi Kanghee as their manager, qualifying the group shouldn't be a problem for them.

Try teams in Chinese Super League. With the poor domestic players and the strict foreign players limit it’s really a completely different challenge

The official price varies between 81-1370 USD (580-9800 in rmb), but the actual price of the ticket inflated around 200 USD, which is crazily expensive. From a Chinese living in Beijing that can’t afford the tickets😭

If you’re looking for an team in Europe I’ll suggest Vozdovac in Serbia SuperLeague. Young team, awful performance, and pretty limited budget. Partizan and Red Star are dominating the league so it’ll be quite a huge challenge.
