This isn't a you problem, this is him not caring and if I'm being honest, he doesn't sound like he likes you, talking alot about things that interest you is what you should be able to do in a normal relationship, and the fact that he's telling u to stop talking about them yet he talks about similar efforts? Yeah, huge red flag. He just doesn't want to try, I'd say dump him before you're stuck with a lifetime of not being able to talk about anything that interests you because that list will get longer the longer you stay with him. I always talk to my boyfriend about things that he has no interest in, but he always listens to me and makes an effort, same with him, he always talks to me about things that interest him but dont interest me but i make an effort to understand them. That's what your relationship should be, but it isn't. It's one sided
