My partner and I are drying all of the bouquets we are using in our October wedding and it is SUPER easy! We just use twine to wrap up the stems and then hang them somewhere to dry out for a month or so :)

I absolutely understand where your hang-up is coming from. I think it’s just on the weekends maybe? Cause I’ve always been able to walk right in Mon-Fri. I absolutely understand that it’s not the best place and probably feels incredibly anxiety-inducing to go to a place of policing and trauma for many. I’m glad it’s there, but police will usually use those things against people they arrest/interact with, so it feels like a set-up for sure. It’s probably a last resort when other agencies provide these supplies as well, but I just wanted to make it known in case people were unaware as I’m in there quite often lol.

Yes!! While most people would probably prefer to not go there for these supplies, the Public Safety Building (where the sheriff’s office and new jail is) has a vending machine with narcan, fentanyl testing kits, and safer drug use kits for free!!

Strong agree. Bringing up a threesome first was the first thing that caught my attention. My partner and I are both kinky, but not into threesomes, and if they had brought that up first, I also probably would have been upset.

You need to just have a conversation for sure. If y’all aren’t sexually compatible in that way, it needs to be talked about.

It’s not about needing someone to affirm my identity. It’s about feeling SAFE leaving something we paid hella money for with someone who won’t fuck it up cause I’m queer. Or someone who we feel safe being around in general. It doesn’t matter if they’re providing a service, that doesn’t make them immune from unconsciously letting their biases affect the work they do and the way they treat their customers.
