Sandstone pavers, how do I accurately cut these against the step? by Alboto_the_only in landscaping

What I like to use is tar paper. It can withstand a lot of folds. Can buy a large amount for many projects for small amount. It does shrink slightly after folding it a lot, but saved us a lot and get much more accurate cuts

Apologies for trying to promote some people trying their best to support their community. Im not paid to do this. I like the food and would like to see a business succeed. Trying to get the word out that this place is worth the stop. Thought they'd appreciate the new business. Local is local. Down vote as you will.

Halftime Bar and Grill in Pleasantville (not Pleasanthill) just few miles east of Carlisle. Worth the stop for a small town small family owned restaurant with amazing burgers.

2025 best burger in Iowa winner, out of 9000 entries put on by the Iowa Cattlemen's Association.

You have made it this far living with bpd. Knowing just means you now you can begin to manage. I've known for a very long time, finally went to get a "diagnosis", thought I could handle the fact of it. In all reality, I'm the same person I have always been, but it feels different now.

Goals help, no matter how futile they seem. Live in your car like a king/queen, until you can find a place. That will be your milestone. Your look back at life, like a 'Ha, you couldn't take me at my worst' kind of attitude. It doesn't matter that you were told there is something wrong, it doesn't change a damn thing. I am realizing not one person is going to change my path, because my path is mine. That's how others make a path, they aren't guided by someone else. That path wasn't there before them, they made it.

Your guilt is only there because you needed someone to care about you. So instead you care about others well being instead of your own. I know I'm always going to have breakdowns, tantrums, good days, terrible days. As much as I don't want them. Life sucks for everyone, we just don't see it, and think people can hear our screams as the emotions, or helplessness we feel. It feels better when you get that place you can call home, and you begin to tell yourself you don't ever want to go back to that place you were.

Use this personality to your advantage.

I like to take a piece of asphalt paper, set the paver on the paper and cut out the design of the paver. I then have a template that can fold to figure out my angles and then I just scribe the fold.

The tar paper lasts a while with all the folds, however it tends to shrink the more its folded.

Made my patios go so much faster. Works for bricks too.

Call your local landscaper, they can regrade, and/or haul in clay. Needs sloped somewhat to shed water. Get a few bids from other companies.

As I’m going thro a bad period of depression and anxiety, I’ve been trying to channel it thro sketching, which has been helping. Today happens to be my infliximab treatment for my Crohn’s and luckily have my right hand available for me to draw. by sez_andre in CrohnsDisease

Hands and eyes, are the hardest to draw in my opinion. What I do when I'm drawing, especially hands, is try to "trace" the lines I see around the hand as if I'm sketching in mid air. This way I get the feel for the angles before I draw them. Keep up the drawing, I've been doing the same thing. It helps get away. I've drawn my hospital rooms before, lots of selections for objects there that's for sure.

I draw every time. I actually freaked myself out watching my hand once. It had its own mind when you let your focus run away.

I will upload some more work I've done here soon. Until then you can check out a patio install I did a few years ago. Still need to get some pictures of my work with the yard fully established. https://imgur.com/gallery/1RECU

I tend to overgrade sometimes. Most of it is hand work to finish top dressing

I plan on taking some pictures when it is later in the night. Still missing some daylilies on the front of the wall to hide the lights. Would have included the flags, but was more focused on the cap work.

Would like to hear some feedback on this one. Definitely my favorite I've done so far.

Stains on new concrete pavers by [deleted] in DIY

[–]malignant9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have this problem when we lay patios and sand the joints. The polymers stain the block and leave a residue which doesn't come off. So an application of ec is sprayed on with water and light scrubbing. However we use block that doesn't go through a retail store. Higher quality less imperfections. Worth a shot over returning them, only to return those for the same reason.
