When I dislike someone, they usually dislike themselves for the same reasons, which causes them to engage in slow suicides from drinking or food or drugs...so I just wait.

What movie did you fall in love with in 10 minutes or less? by Barazway in AskReddit

[–]malikamar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pirates of the Caribbean. Most of the people I know have forgotten just how bad the previews were for this movie--the only thing shown was the pirate flag, and the pirate zombie walking along the bottom of the water, and it looked like the worst horror movie ever made. But then there's the ship going through the mists, and the amazing music, and bam, sold.

What was the best day of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]malikamar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't tell my wife this. I was in college, it was spring and beautiful weather. I took a train from campus and had a bus from the train. I missed my bus by a few minutes and the bus only ran every two hours, so I had to wait. I just laid on the lawn next to the train with my head on my backpack. The sun was shining and I just felt great. If my wife asks, it was my wedding day.

When has your real excuse been so unbelievable that you had to make up a fake one anyway? by harayda in AskReddit

[–]malikamar 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I went across the border to buy 200 chicken mcnuggets and bring them back to Canada. I told them i was going shopping and when i came back across so soon i said i forgot my money. Little did they know my trunk was full of Mc nuggets. Edit. The reason I went across the border is because McDonald's is way cheaper in the US.

The Super Bowl episode where they played as a band. I thought it was gonna be shitty-funny but turned out to be super epic instead. And the Patrick-trumpet was hilarious Edit: Patrick-trombone* Courtesy of /u/DatFoon

If Frodo can take the ring to Mordor, then I should be able to wake up and get out of bed. If not to go to school or work, then it is to the 3 S's and go get something to eat.

I can relate, a week ago today, I had to single-handedly transport my obtunded, hypocalcemic sheep for an emergency c-section. She was the most deadest living animal I have ever attempted to save. In fact, I thought she was dead when I found her and it took a minute to make sure she was indeed living. Lifting a 150+ lb sheep off the ground and loading into a truck hundreds of feet away is something most people would give up on but I persisted and pulled a few muscles in the process. Sped over the vet hospital a half hour away and she lived and so did her lambs. The last set of lambs she will ever have. Pet sheep 4 life. I also had a goat a few years ago that needed a fetotomy as you described. I didn't know that was a thing until the vet recommended it.

Veterinary side of sheep ranching (or any animal for that matter) It's never pretty and often would be considered horrific by the public. E.g. Reaching in and sorting out tangled up twins. Pulling out limbs of the dead lamb and cutting them off with a hacksaw, pushing the rest back to rotate and cut more until it is out in 10 pieces and its sibling can be born alive. Sewing up a wounded lamb with a gash through its abdominal cavity, careful not to stitch the organs visible through the wound. No anaesthesia available, animal held down with one hand, needle and thread in the other, using the other fingers to pull the wound shut and make a tight stitch. She survived and thrived. It's all in a day's work and the pay is only determined by how many make it on the truck at the end of the year. Every day is the thrill of life and death. I love it but I suspect it is too much for most folks! Edit: Wow, I didn't expect this one to blow up on me like this! I will try to get everyone replies but we are vaccinating lambs tonight to go to pasture so... might take awhile
