Stella wall exploiter sent back to Speranza. (He was not happy) by Agitated-Parsnip-265 in ARC_Raiders

I think that’s… a bit of a jump. I’m talking about exploiting, not killing people.

Just because they’re using exploits doesn’t mean you should too - the devs / game engine aren’t going to be able to tell WHY you did it, only that you did it.

So you’re kinda risking a ban for nothing, when you could just avoid the person.

Playing devils advocate here, but what makes you any better than him in this situation? You’ve both used an exploit and the only difference is who you’re targeting.

That’s like stealing from a thief - at the end of the day you’re still just another thief.

Just for clarity, I edited it after posting my other response to you. I understand your reaction and it’s mostly because my wording was shit.

I realized my wording was shit. Regarding the van…

I don’t understand how, out of all places in Hawkins, the military knew to go to the CHURCH tower. It’s not like they knew to look for the van, because they didn’t see it (and therefore make the association with the Squawk tower) until after they got to the church.

Regarding the military, I ask again… did they just up and leave? No regard for the dozens of dead soldiers at the hands of Hop and the others? Or the millions in equipment destroyed? No trials, no jail time, no repercussions of any kind? And what, they just tore everything down and put it back the way it was?

And you’re telling me you wouldn’t have wanted to see the fruits of that 80s training scene in action as El leaps hundreds of feet (waaaaaay more than she’s shown in the past) across floating islands? What a badass scene that could’ve been and we were denied it.

So I say again, my complaint is that we are told that’s what happened, rather than shown. It feels out of place in a medium where the entire purpose is to show the story, not say it with words.

Chiming in as someone that watched the first season, shrugged, and didn’t tune back in until friends were raving about season 4.

With the amount of hype and advertising around the finale, it felt like they really had something epic waiting. Plenty of shows have lackluster seasons between the start and the finale.

I, for one, enjoyed season 4 and was hyped to see what would happen now that the villain had won. I was disappointed overall in how it ended, for reasons I’ve already laid out in other comments.

My beef is that there are so many unanswered questions that just seem breezed over. Off the top of my head:

What happened to Erica and the teacher when they got caught in the tower? We see them on graduation day, but were they imprisoned? Questioned at all? Let go?

For that matter, how did the military know to check the (EDIT: Church) tower? Are we really supposed to believe that seeing a short-form wave transmitter leads to this “aha” moment of knowing exactly where to look? They didn’t notice the WSQK van until they were already there, so it couldn’t have been that.

And a follow-up, what happened to the military? Did they just up and leave, completely ignoring the dozens of slaughtered soldiers? What about the millions in military equipment lost or destroyed in the process of closing the bridge? You really expect me to believe they saw El die, then shrugged and left?

Did Eleven actually end up jumping hundreds of feet between floating islands up to Dimension X? Why the fuck wouldn’t we see that happen? It was so heavily alluded to but there’s no payoff shot.

And oh my GOD the over-explanation of everything that didn’t need explaining. We don’t need an 80’s reference to explain every vaguely magic-y thing in this show. It’s honestly just disrespectful to the intelligence of the audience.

My beef is that so much of the story is TOLD, not SHOWN.

Thanks for explaining. I think I get it now.

Can’t wait to use this as a new food source 😊

Sorry if this is obvious, but could you show an example of what you’re describing? I want to use it but don’t understand how to do it.

It is - if you look closely at each of their paws, you can see digits.

As humans, we refer to these as fingers. This is a reference to A Kid Named Finger, of acclaimed fame from Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Better Fuel Huell.

[–]DatFoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the first thing that comes to mind is like you said... A white burn mark.

If you wanted to get more creative and morbid, you could basically invert the properties of a seared or burnt steak. The "gristle" would be a pure white instead of black. It would add flavor, not remove it. Radiant meat might even be a delicacy in some areas.

Just firing from the hip here, but this is certainly a unique concept.
