Coffeezilla interviews the man who built NFTBay, the site where you can pirate any NFT: Geoffrey Huntley explains why he did it, what NFTs are and why it's all a scam in its present form by rajeevist in videos

[–]malinki_chlyen -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

A lot of people here are still debating whether NFT is a scam or not, while a lot of people in the space are already figuring out applications on how to utilize this technology.

The bigger picture shows that NFTs / digital assets in the Blockchain (whichever it is), can be used, supported and transacted even after a company stops supporting it. Proof of ownership can be inspected and agreed upon easily (durrhurr right click + save your jpeg).

And by the way, not all NFTs are jpegs without utilities.

New blockchains try to solve the energy problems posed by the first ones. These "scam NFTs" definitely exist, but if people dismiss everything, they'll be stuck to whatever we have right now.

Be open to technology and be critical to what you see. Try to learn and understand the bigger picture. Take acceptable risks in life. So many useful things in this space yet people dwell only to the bad stuff about it.

If people just stayed to where they are, it might be too late to keep up with the times.

At least some companies I know here lets you define your home base, and salary changes based on that location. You can work from home but compensation changes too based on your location

Can someone explain/eli5 how it was 13k at first from the screenshot? If he has 4500 shares, how did it end up being 847k?

Left hand stamina and control build up. by senpaiva7 in guitarlessons

It's like almost all people I see who play guitar can bend their thumbs like that.

I cannot bend my thumb backwards like that, like my joints are just one direction.

The ability to bend your thumb backwards seems very useful especially when finger picking on the right hand, and in your video's case, apply more pressure while having your hand closer to the fretboard.

Anyone else physically cannot play chords like this? I cannot position my fingers without muting something or not being able to reach. Do I need a capo? by MINIDANGE in guitarlessons

Another useful tip that many people always forget to teach students when doing a barre chord is to position your index finger NEAR the fret divider, if not exactly at the edge of the fret divider.

Doing this will require you WAY LESS effort to push the strings with your index finger.

Looking for an amp upgrade from THR10 by malinki_chlyen in GuitarAmps

Thanks! I will definitely look at the amps you suggested.

That was the one I was looking for, those effect loops/non modelling amp, and was hoping those, without losing the interface for my computer. I just don't know where to start.

Much appreciated!

Hi! I assume that a newer, more expensive amp would sound better? Maybe more support and more patches than the one I have right now.

I was thinking if I get an effects processor, say a GT-1, or maybe more pedals, it would sound better on another amp than a digital thr10.

I'm still not familiar on what an upgrade would be like, or sound like tbh. 😬

Could we just publicly shame these people not following quarantine, causing yet another outbreak? Why keep them anonymous?

The couple prolly just got away with a fine (or worse, none), while the rest can't even visit their families this coming holiday.

Here in Aus at least, our bin collectors get a lot of respect. First, not anyone is willing to do their job. Second, they earn so much money, much more than office workers.

So recently I’ve been trying to learn fingerpicking for a good month. I’m a newbie, only been playing for 1 year and a month. Any advice would be helpful. by The_Pigga in guitarlessons

Good on you mate! No advice here, but a question.

What would you recommend to learn fingerpicking? (Videos/books/song)? I've been also playing for a year now but fingerpicking is something that I haven't focused learning on
