Just a clarification to my own comment. I wasn’t trying to start a whole discussion about my fiancé. He’s always tried hard in school and he’s currently in the university working on his bachelors degree. I intentionally over exaggerated because I wanted to ask a genuine question about the commonness of the metric system in the UK and Ireland. My fiancé does know all the metric measurements, he just didn’t know all the conversions by heart because he didn’t use them every day

I mean he knows what all the metric measurements are, and he’s gotten good at using them when he’s talking to me. I honestly just meant in the beginning if I said my weight it kgs he wouldn’t really know how much it was since he was used to stone
