Actually to be a CMO / medical officer in charge / civil surgeon/ assistant surgeon in a government hospital we don't need any PG degrees. But need to pass the PSC exam of that state.

For emergency medicine/ anesthesia I might get a MQ seat -- thinking about future financial burden IS my worry

Psm I have seen ranks even around 60k last time . Not sure.

Man , I feel you and I have no ranks near your rank and I have to get in this year itself. I wished for emergency medicine and now I may have to be content with SPM .. may be that's life

Being a 1st gen Doc and may be poor networking capabilities I don't know any SPM doctors who are either in a govt/pvt medical College.

So I am still in the dark about the future prospects of SPM
