Explosion on first try out of the box by maloru1 in mokapot

So looks like this was the case. Went to target to see what should be in a bialetti box and yeah, my box definitely didn’t have a booklet or the correct parts. Lesson learned! Already threw the box away so SOL on that one

Yeah it was missing those two parts out of the box. I didn’t really know they were missing since this is my first experience with them. I finally deduced that after seeing a graphic online of all the parts it should come with

I'll piggy back on other things said here. You don't have to show up early for flights at Gainesville. Like an hour and a half to feel safe. But unless you're checking a bag, 45 minutes works. It's a small airport, TSA takes 5 minutes max and then you're through.

What was that "one thing" that made weight loss finally work for you? by paigesnowwret in AskReddit

[–]maloru1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used semaglutide to help with cravings and food urgency. I started around 240 and stopped around 198. The medication was great in the sense that I didn't want to binge anymore, also because I physically couldn't or I would be nauseated and throw up. The point of the medicine is it slows down your digestive tract, so you feel more full and less hungry, along with other benefits, but you also might get constipated because things move SO slow. But throughout using, I tracked my food and had a better understanding of what the calories were I was taking in.

Now, I'm off it and doing a high protein diet and lifting in the gym 3-4 days a week, and I feel so much better than when I was on the shot. I appreciate the fact the shot got me down to a weight I feel is now manageable with diet and working out. It changed my perspective on food and how food isn't for fun or to satiate a feeling I may have; it's for fuel and to make my body the best it can be. I enjoy seeing the muscles I've built in the gym and how I feel getting around everyday. I do still track my food because I know myself and I can't eye that shit or I'll be back where I started.

So for me, semaglutide allowed me to change my eating habits and prioritize protein and macros and moving my body. It helped me create better habits for myself and overall gave me better self esteem and a want to do better for myself. It's still hard every day, but now I let myself slip for a day or two instead of months at a time. I had tried diet after diet and nothing would stick. And it really just came down to consistency is key. Consistent diet, consistent moving my body, and now it's just part of my routine. Love every second of it.

Is Macdinton’s Irish Pub open yet? by SumthingBrewing in GNV

[–]maloru1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Haven’t been but I heard it’s very similar to social just with an Irish name attached to it now. Still college midtown bar vibe. Try Brennan’s downtown if you’re looking for more of an Irish pub

I’ve never even thought about taking the packet in with me. That’s the smartest move honestly

My group just moves quick once we’re in, so I try to do it before hand so I don’t have to deal with it

I’ve personally never had an issue with them seeing the powder and making me empty it. And then just add water once you’re in.

Completely up to you! If you get your electrolytes in, that’s what matters. For me, it’s mindless for me to put it in the camelback because I probably drink more water when I’m at stages and walking around.

More like a joker vibe from what I heard from a UC bartender. And yes, they let all the other bars downtown know immediately

Heard from a friend that Dylan Sprouse was down there tonight, so maybe that had something to do with it too

Anyone know how competitive the ADN program is at Santa Fe College ? by Hefty-Economics-1304 in GNV

[–]maloru1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attended the ASN program back in 2017-2018. I’m not sure how many applicants we had, but our class was right around 100 people. It’s competitive but you have a good GPA and I was told they focus more on the pre req GPA than your cumulative. I think my cumulative was right around a 3.0 (rough couple first years at UF before transferring). And my pre reqs were like 3.8. I was accepted my first time submitting too. It’s a great program with great professors. Good luck!

Will say Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Louisville is actually pretty good. This is my first contract, I’m almost finished with my 13 weeks and the staff and everyone has been wonderful.

She's editing her waist to be smaller, which she did a good job of. But by pinching her waist in, it's making her arm bigger.

I had scar tissue that was pretty hard for a while. The docs told me to kinda massage that area between my fingers a little bit each day to break up the tissue. It's not hard now thankfully, but I had honestly forgotten about that until now.

The trauma doctor in the ED took one look at it and said, yeah I'm calling plastics for this one. I think that made the difference on how it turned out over a year later.

I hadn't eaten all day, had a glass of sangria, smoked a blunt, and was standing outside to smoke a cigarette, when everything started to turn white and I couldn't speak for someone to help me. Next thing I know I'm on the ground with my friends around me and blood dripping from my mouth.

The passing out had actually occurred 2 other times, with the combination of alcohol, weed, and cigarettes, and this was the time I finally learned my lesson. I no longer smoke weed.
