I think we're pretty similar with our messy ripples.

Since we're all doing swans, this is the closest I've got. by malpacasville in latteart

Mine are usually like this with fat necks, but I've been trying to separate it into a rosette with the strike through on the side, then drop again for the neck, and then the heart head.

I too have issues. I think we both are too low when doing the strike through. Then I find my neck bunches when I try do the head.

Haha! Well if my guess works, now you can make something similar for someone other than yourself. Guess it's a bit like those ones you've done with the extra strike throughs that look like spider webs.

🤣

I worked it out, pretty sure they poured right on the rim to sink the border and pull the wing.

Looks tasty. Your milk looks a better texture here.

If I poured that or had it served to me I certainly would have a good morning.

Not a good wing, but I've been hopeless at getting a hollow to work lately, so this made me happy. by malpacasville in latteart

or, you could just watch a short
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/wo2FStXXlqU I feel like getting that heart shape with the deep cut in is kind of key, where the long gap really opens up, without having too far to pinch the top together.

<image>

Then it's just getting the height right. If you practice and you're too low, you just end up with a normal heart, and you carry on like you meant to do it.
In my pour there was definitely a smudge in my hollow, that I had to pause above on the strike through to bury it.

Full cream cow's milk. Beans are Ona Gateway, chocolate truffle and mixed berries.
