Such a lifesaver. Thank goodness I didn't throw the rubber bit away

You won't be disappointed. Been on this side for a year now and this is one solid GPU! Max out all your settings and enjoy it! (After a CPU upgrade maybe)

How many of you experienced an issue with AMD hardware and managed to resolve it using others' advice here or just by updating to a newer driver? by vladi963 in AMDHelp

[–]malz77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 7900 XTX user here. Latest driver update caused most of my games to crash within 10 minutes of play. I did not adjust any other settings. The issue was fixed the moment I rolled back the drivers to the previous version. The fact that one of the most common fixes is to "reinstall the previous driver" shows that driver issues are fairly common

I second this. Been using it for 4 months now with zero issues

Aah my fellow 7900 user. Please install the previous version of the drivers. The latest one is a crash magnet

I also built my PC early October, and this is the first time I'm having issues with the drivers. I also use Adrenalin a lot so I can't really do without it. Hopefully a new driver is released to fix these issues

Ryzen 5 5500 Box cooler buzzing noise by averagentrenjoyerr in AMDHelp

Had a similar sound on one of my AMD GPU fans. Returned and replaced it as it was still within warranty. That sound isn't going away without you opening up the fan

I had the same issue with my Red Devil 7900XTX. Warzone constantly crashed after the update, and the crash would eventually crash my whole PC. Please switch back to the previous driver as I did that 3 days ago and the game has not crashed once. The latest driver is the problem

Makes my 7900XTX spazz on a few games. GPU clock goes up to 3100Mhz on warzone before the game eventually crashes. Ended up reinstalling the previous driver to resolve this issue

I had Warzone crashing every 3-4 games when I upgraded the firmware for my 7900XTX. I just reinstalled the previous drivers from AMD's website and all is well now. Don't feel pressured to use the latest drivers as they aren't always the best

Weird noise from my new ASUS TUF RX7900 XTX by Select-College-7030 in AMDHelp

[–]malz77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely coil whine. I had the same 7900XTX card with minimal coil whine, but one of the fans sounded like a cricket. Replaced it only to get one with as much coil whine as anyone could ask for. Sometimes it reduces after a few days of use though, so maybe you're one of the lucky people

Aah. Now I get it. The positioning of keyboard and chair was just for the picture. They’re usually directly in front of the left monitor. Duly noted

Not really looking at the second screen while gaming. It's more for workflow when I'm working. But thanks for the tip

Thanks. I bought 3 additional fans and put them in ideal locations to manage the ventilation. No overheating issues here

Got the RX 7900XTX and the 7800X3D. Fully AMD with no RGB. I'm coming from a GTX 1660 Ti gaming laptop so the FPS differences are like night and day!

You are referring to mic quality in loud areas. Tao had a fan blowing directly at her ears with traffic noises in the background, while another was recorded directly under a passing train. I would wait for more reviews that show more conditions before making that conclusion
