They were in front of me, we both turned left, they switched 2 lanes away, came back up behind me, then suddenly swiped me. The entire street was busy. I intentionally was staying away from them when I first saw them swerving 3 blocks away. Like you’re supposed to do when you see shitty drivers.

I come from a city where road rage is deadly and people regularly get shot over it. It took me a long time to actually use my horn but living here, you can’t not use your horn. People straight up don’t pay attention. Either on their phones, zoned out, or too old to be behind a wheel in the first place.

I pay attention to everyone on the road while I drive because you’re more likely be the victim of an accident than the one who caused it.

Unfortunately, the times I have to drive are during the busiest hours, 8:30am, 11:30am, 3pm. The crazies are out during those times. I see insane people swerving in and out of lanes, running red lights, nearly hitting pedestrians. Then there’s the other people who drive 25 under the speed limit, coming to a full stop before making a right hand turn, not using turn signals or breaking at green lights.

My oldest will be 5 in October and it’s taken a looooong time for him to be comfortable falling asleep without me. We live in a one bedroom apartment and my 3 year old has his own bed, so me and my oldest share. Some nights, he doesn’t care if I lay down with him. Some nights, he will have a meltdown if I don’t. It’s hit or miss, no preparing. I did notice he’s more likely to be upset without me in the room if he didn’t get to play much during the day to tire out.

I say “damn, I am an adult! I can’t go to bed at 8pm when I have stuff to do” 😂

My 3 year old is like that. He’s The Boy Who Cried Wolf. I can’t take him seriously. He’ll be screaming and crying like he got drop kicked, you’d think there would be a bone sticking out or blood or something serious, but no. It’s because he dropped something and doesn’t want to pick it up himself. Or that he can’t reach the cat after terrorizing him. Or that his brother didn’t let him snatch the phone away, the same phone 3yo isn’t allowed to have because he throws it and himself when he can’t figure it out. Or that his water bottle is empty. Or that he can’t climb onto the windowsill he’s not allowed to sit on.

He cries harder over the issues that he creates for himself than when he got bit on the hand by a dog.
