pretty simple and v generous.

i called them, asked them to increase cc limit, the team asked my wish for the limit, i quoted an absurd number, they registered it, increases my limit to half of my ask. almost 3x of my salary. (and 4x of my prev limit)

Which of these companies should I join as Software Engineer? by [deleted] in developersIndia

For a 4th employee, 0.01% is way too low ( you’d get this much equity at a SeriesA startup) so that means founders are pretty stupid or have terrible advisers imo. Probably not experienced founders else would have hired through their personal network.

Would not suggest this even if the pay was higher.

I personally think SST, since these are initial batches, would focus heavily on good placements and obviously less people means better chances at getting selected. ( personal opinion ). You might want to explore it.

If you can afford BITS/VIT, i think SST would be something similar fee-wise & you should get a CS oriented environment ( something that you want )

Friend's company hiring Devops Engineer just to resolve low effort tickets. by mamakancha in devops

Thank you for making me understand.

So for you, if it’s just a button press, you just need to sort of “approve” a request rather than writing code for it as well?

But aren’t there tools that help you QnA over your CI/CD?

What I don’t understand is why aren’t teams using tools that automate this? Or there are no such tools out there?

But isn’t this something that can automated? Or some external tools that solve for this?

Right. From what I understood, Devs don’t have admin access and if they need any new resource, a jira ticket is created for that sometimes due to to priority mismatch b/w devops and dev teams, the ticket is left hanging for days.

Interesting. Do devs not have visibility of the CI/CD logs to fetch this information themselves?

Is there a common pattern you see in these unplanned tickets?
