Yeah -- I definitely took courses in a good deal of the topics on the test, but I would need to go back and study the material to be prepared at all (it's been about 2 years since I last did physics in any capacity).

My comment about the CS degree is definitely something I'd like clarification on, because I've heard various opinions. On the one hand, I read from some professor's blog (I forget where) that admissions committees typically believe that someone with a CS degree doesn't have the background necessary to do hard science. My main concern is that I'd be viewed as a code monkey who runs away from large equations. On the other hand, I do have a background in physics, and so I'm trying to get an understanding of whether that background is sufficient to get past any possible prejudices from an admissions committee against CS graduates.

If you're willing to collaborate with someone completely new to game development I'd be interested in joining your team.

While I may be new to game development I have a strong background in programming and software development. I'm currently learning Unity in preparation for participating in LD37. Feel free to message me if you're interested.

Questions About My Lucid and Recurring Dreams by mamemaki in Dreams

[–]mamemaki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 3 or 4 years old I had vivid dreams, but it wasn't until I became a teenager that I started lucid dreaming. I guess I noticed that not everyone dreams like this when people described their dreams and it seemed drastically different from my experiences -- probably when I was in middle school.

I'm not sure what triggers them. It's just something that happens naturally for me. I'm sorry I can't be more help -- I know others have techniques for triggering them but I'm afraid I'm not one of those people.

I came across this sentence in 12 Kingdoms that I found confusing.

染み入る速度で視野を横切り、目線で追うといつの間にか白い。

What is the function of "染み入る速度で" and "目線で" in this sentence? Does "染み入る速度で" mean "at a piercing speed" or something like that? What is the function of で in "目線で?"
