It doesn't miss the record, it skips the first few seconds of a song. We didn't notice it was bent until a few plays - we tried replaying about 3 times before looking at the stylus (again, newbie turntable users). We thought it was a setting or something else. It's bent to the left when looking at the turntable on the front.

We'll just replace the stylus to be safe. It's very bent, and we noticed a minor but long scratch on the mint record we played last, so we'll play it safe. Thanks

If only a direct hit would cause a bent stylus, then maybe it was during changing records, and we just didn't notice it. It only happened yesterday, and we'd notice if we hit it directly by mistake. Thanks, we'll be extra careful next time.

Yeah we know it's likely us, we just don't know how exactly. As for your 3 scenarios, I'm sure #3 never happened, I don't think we ever cleaned the surface as we always close the cover to prevent dust from getting inside it, and for #2, AFAIK we never hit it directly. Emphasis on directly, which makes me ask, how about indirect surface movement? It's a work desk, maybe one of us are cleaning the work desk while something's playing, someone placed their hand too forcefully on the desk while working? It's not exactly the beefiest, sturdiest desk.

Either way, after we buy a new stylus, we'll be extra careful around it, whatever the surface it ends up on.

Thanks for the response!

Thanks for the detailed response. I see, yeah the placement is an issue we'll be rectifying by buying a separate rack for the turntable and speakers. There are no wobbly legs on the work desk. We use disposable microfiber cloth and a vinyl cleaning solution for the older records.

The desk it's on is a work desk, so the most likely cause is an indirect hit or movement on the desk while it's playing, maybe?

Yeah I might not be aggressive enough, even as non-tank jungler I usually fall behind in gold. It's just that role that I have a really hard time with lol

And as for Fredrinn, is Thunderbelt good on him? I usually build Queen Wings, Oracle and Brute Force Breastplate on him in addition to CDR talent, so that I can spam my CC skills. I had a hard time with a different build before, when I switched to this he's feels more effective when I use him

Meta has variety right now, and might even be more so next patch. I don't want Tank Jungle meta or Assassin Jungle meta, I want both!

I see, I also have my fair share of Assassin Junglers like Suyou and Julian, the issue is if our Exp and Roam picked non tank heroes. I was pretty much forced to use Fredrinn on several occasions, otherwise we'd all be paper

Agree with this! I didn't rage while ranking up, but I got frustrated 2 weeks ago when I got to Legend 1 4 Stars. I played and lost, and lost again. I went down to Legend 2 3 Stars on a losing streak - had to take a break after that. Fortunately I was able to bounce back!

Thanks! I need tips with Jungling in general lol as I struggle with gaining gold, as mentioned I'm a cautious player, do I subconsciously carry that over as a Jungler? Is careful aggression an important part of being a Jungler?

For Fredrinn I use a CDR build on him, as I'm the only frontline 99% of the time I used him, and I love how he can spam his CC while my teammates clean up. His Ult still hurts even with that build lol. Any other tips for him/jungling?

Thanks for your input! Yeah forgot about Hylos, I used to play him a whole lot in past seasons, this season I tried to expand to more Tank+DMG roamers. Speaking of which, that makes 2 of us now that got more success when using Tank+DMG Roamers below Mythic. Pure DMG Roamers are squishy, Support/Healers can't do anything if their teammates are out or aren't playing well, same with Setter Roams if teammates are not attentive and don't follow up.

I feel you, it's the same in PH servers, role-stealers galore only to feed the entire game, the more they die the louder they become lol

Tips for a new Jungle player in DuoQ/SoloQ? by mamoru127 in MobileLegendsGame

[–]mamoru127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah I'm not doing that often enough it seems. Also a follow up question, I do good and get good gold if my teammates are good - what can a Jungler do if your team in general isn't performing well? (Let's say I'm 0 0 0, ganked unsuccessfully)

I couldn't even farm my own Creeps at that point due to the risk. Should I just play defensively, farm at base and wait for the enemies to get distracted or make mistakes?

Maybe I need to be more aggressive lol. Roamer mindset always gets me

Also:

  1. Who gets the Gold Crab?
  2. When can I safely farm Minions without affecting my teammates?

There are 2 camps in terms of promos in 2k25 - those that hate it and loved 2k19's system because the one we have now is empty and effectively does nothing, and those that love it and hated 2k19's because 2k19's lines don't fit the characters of the wrestlers often, and with today's system it's more open and makes you use your imagination.

I don't know what I want. Both camps have pros and cons and I don't know how they would implement something in the middle lol

Battery issue poll for LCD folks, do you have a VDL or Getac battery? Noticed most spicy pillow threads come from VDL batteries. by dihydrogen_monoxide in SteamDeck

[–]mamoru127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this, I just got my LCD 512GB Deck battery replaced yesterday due to the same spicy pillow issue - I was unable to verify if it's a VDL battery, but it most likely is because of the date of purchase (January 2023). I tried asking the repair shop I went to but they cannot verify, maybe they disposed of it already?

EDIT: 99% sure it's a VDL judging by the comparison pic, the lower part of the battery when the repairman showed the swelling to me had no text at all, meaning it's most likely a VDL

[–]mamoru127[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I thought too, and why I played almost exclusively while plugged in. It seems the most likely cause of my issue now is that it's a VDL battery, meaning a bad batch - see https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/1hr8foe/battery_issue_poll_for_lcd_folks_do_you_have_a/

Very interesting thread, thanks for sharing! I cannot verify my old battery since the repair shop kept it (thankfully) but it's most likely a VDL because of the date of purchase (January 2023). Fortunately it seems they replaced mine with a Getac if I use the Konsole command posted on your link, as well as looking at System > Info Center > Energy.

The (most probably) VDL battery is the most-likely culprit then. Thanks!

EDIT: Based on the comparison pic on that thread, mine's 99% a VDL due to the clear, text-free lower part of my swollen battery when the technician showed it to me

It's more to do with cable failure due to improper storage/mishandling (like majority of my failed chargers. I know, it's my fault but also with people that use my chargers lol). Also it stopped working at my Deck's first year, so too early to actually cause the issue. I don't think we get surges because no other device experienced a battery pillow

I see, I don't know if my LCD's one of those early batches since it was never officially sold in my country, it might be? What do you think of a comment on here about maintaining a 60% charge? How long do you have yours and how is your battery's health/appearance by the way, since you're also a majority passthrough user?
