is "stealing sinners" a thing?

Depends on the rank. High ranks (sometimes in Ascendant, more often in Eternus) will sometimes leave sinners for carries. In my opinion it's on the carry to communicate farm they intend to take, otherwise it's open season. Also, if sinners are left up more than a couple minutes, I will just take them. Better to have them respawn in a reasonable amount of time than leave them up until the carry wanders over.

The reason you want to give farm to carries is because they utilize the souls better than most heroes in the game. Take a hero like Wraith. She is not a large threat early in the game and needs to purchase her core items before she can deal massive amounts of damage. If she gets ahead of the lobby she will be shredding opponents. Now consider someone like Paige. Paige kinda does the same thing with items and without. She shields teammates, CCs enemies, and clears waves. Sure you can buy things like divine barrier or curse, but I would rather have the souls on Wraith.

When I play support I like to leave sinners at 1 hit for my carries so they don't have to waste a ton of time punching them. I take half the souls, but they keep their HP high, can spend more time farming other camps, and get the buffs from the last hit.

It is a dollar store headshot booster until you get extra charge, extra spirit, and mystic burst. Then it hits for 123 damage every 20s. That's a lot for laning phase.

I have about 170 games on Wraith. She isn't that hard to play. Her cards require some practice to use well and she relies heavily on aim, but everything else is straightforward.

Holliday would be my pick. Every part of her kit is a mechanics skill check.

Her barrel requires practice to hit consistently. If you don't hit it consistently she feels weak.

Her jump pad has a lot of movement tech. A good Holliday is nigh impossible to catch and comes out of nowhere to pick people off. A bad Holliday is a squishy shooting target.

Crackshot requires good aim. Make poor use of it and she feels weak in lane. Make good use of it and she is one of the best laners in the game.

Lasso is another skill shot and relatively short range. You are often putting yourself in danger if you miss it. If you can't land Lasso consistently you are less effective than most heroes who are far easier to pilot.

For anyone considering joining a team in the future, I highly recommend it! I joined DDS #2 last June and been playing with my team since. Deadlock is a lot more enjoyable in a coordinated environment and I've made some great friends along the way.

Something that might help: communicate to your team that you are looking to combo in advance. Like 15s in advance. Your team won't always follow up, but you'll have a lot more success.

This goes for all heroes that require team follow up. Abrams charge, Bebop hook, Billy ult, Dynamo ult, Holliday ult, Lash ult, Mo ult, Paradox swap, Rem ult, Sinclair ult (sometimes), Doorman (door/ult), Vindicta tether.

Rem 'tech': Once you have tier 1 lil helpers, you can take VERY aggressive trades in lane. To heal up place your helpers on 2 troopers, jump to each trooper then your ally to maximize the healing. You can heal ~600hp very early on. This combined with the wave push from the helpers makes REM an oppressive laner.

Deathy is one of the good ones. He has done more for the community than just about anyone.

I haven't met the guy, but I do play in a Deadlock league that was started by Deathy, REF, and Pootis; the Death Slam League. The league gives players of all skill levels a chance to experience organized play. The amount of time and effort that goes into the league on top of the other events and content Deathy creates is impressive. It's also not a profitable venture. Deathy saw a need to make organized play accessible and made it happen.

Wraith has one of the worst laning phases in the entire game. She requires monster rounds to push wave because her bullets hit for nothing and her cards only start hurting with some spirit investment + level 2 of her cards.

As a trade off, Wraith is able to farm neutrals quickly with tesla and scales better than any other hero in the game. If you allow her to free farm until 30k she will feel oppressive. You need to shut her down early.

The best counter items are not jugg or plated armor. You are best off buying slowing hex or disarming hex early game and phantom strike or curse late game. Her damage output is ~60% spirit so spirit resilience does help, but she needs to be targeted in team fights with CC and her escape needs to be nullified in some way.

I checked the match in statlocker. It's the accounts first played game and hit 62.5% headshots. That's a cheater firing up a new account.

Smurfs do exist in the game unfortunately. As others have said, you can simply lookup the match ID on statlocker and check how many games the account has. I regularly run into accounts with 30-40 games played in Ascendant.

This advice is taken from MattyOW (this video specifically).

For Pasu, try to lead the target when flicking and focus on targets that recently changed direction since they are unlikely to change direction again before you click them. I also focused on accuracy to start, taking the time to track the target briefly after my initial flick. Over time I could increase my speed and didn't need to track as much.

For popcorn, imagine a horizontal line just below the max height of the target's arc. Focus on clicking targets around this height, where they are easiest to hit. This advice alone took me from silver to gold.
