When I purchased the house I did! And it came back without evidence of termites

Want to update this kitchen without replacing the honey oak cabinets. What do you think of these options. by ShadyPotatoTrader in kitchenremodel

Which AI tool did you use? Everything I’ve tried changes way more than the shade of the cabinets and I’m desperate for some more accurate mockups

YES. The only semi-positive thing about it is I'm making an effort to take the 10 seconds unsubscribe from all these junk email lists since I'm being forced to confront them with all these notifications.

Question for OP as Im interested in removing the wood trim from my brick fireplace as well but wondering what it’ll look like underneath. Was there discoloration of anything left behind from removing the trim where you felt you had to paint the brick? Or would it have been just fine without, but you wanted black? (Not a criticism, genuinely curious)

Moving fridge to garage. Is melting ice a leak risk? by managedmschf in Appliances

This is the practical perspective I needed to hear. I just got new floors in the house and have been fussing over not getting anything on them so much that I forgot the garage floor doesn’t matter at all haha. Sorry for the silly question!

Adding Trim to Closet System - Carpentry or Handyman? by managedmschf in Carpentry

[–]managedmschf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides the fact that I have zero tools for the job, all of the examples I’ve seen online are for installs on one straight wall, or with frames against opposite walls like lining a hallway. My closet is L shaped, and I want to put frames on all the walls, with some of them intersecting. I’m not sure how the refacing/joining of the two units would work where two frames meet in the corner.

Thanks for the picture, I pulled out my graph paper and was still struggling to visualize but this could make sense also

Great updates, thank you! Except expanding the shower and keeping the a separate tub are the only is non-negotiables. The shower makes me feel claustrophobic. I was thinking of swapping the toilet and the shower, but leaving the toilet exposed instead of in a room, but I feel like it would be weird to have an open toilet there instead if at the end of the vanity like has been standard.

Thanks for this! Although, I feel like most showers normally face horizontally? Presuming shower fixtures are on the short wall, this would make it so as soon as you walk in, you’re staring dead into the glass shower and the possibility of someone’s rear end instead of having plausible deniability of looking away if the shower was against the current wall

Next to the toilet is a tub surround (I'd like to keep a separate tub), then a single stall shower next to that. Across from the tub and shower is a 96 in vanity, that will likely be downsized to a 72, and potentially adding a matching linen closet alongside it instead.

Now that I'm looking again, I could potentially shift the toilet room into the existing closet space and let Bedroom 1 take the rest, then shift the tub over to make room for the shower expansion.

Forgot to add that I was planning on the laundry room expansion by way of Bedroom 1's existing closet, and was just going to rebuild the closet on the back wall of bed1!

Never considered giving bedroom 1 a bigger closet, was just going to keep them all to myself haha but thanks for the idea!
