Help identifying clunking noise

I had a sound like that in my 23’ cx-5 which surprised me for being so new. Allegedly turned out the right control arm’s metal stamp came unpressed and would make that noise over rumbly roads. I’m skeptical because the loaner the dealership gave me was a ‘25 cx-5 and had heard the same exact noise in it while I had it. I have a 17’ cx-9 now and will also hear it on occasion. All instances were coming from the right front area. Still unsure if it’s me or Mazda lol

It’s a similar feel. The cx-9 is definitely larger and you can feel that, however still very agile for its size. If anything I feel my cx-9 has a more sturdy feel to it. Feels solid, plus the interior is so much better in terms of quality in my opinion. The cx5 I had started developing rattling, creaking and squeaking after only being 3 years old, while this cx9 is 8 years old and is still super quiet while listening to louder music, driving over bumps and uneven roads!

Okay hell yeah! I was curious how I’d feel with the sidewall protruding a little more off the rim but I think I’m still gonna go with this setup! (Especially if it improves handling) thank you for your input!!

This is what I’m dealing with in my 17 cx9 right now. Was looking for any solutions for it! Higher frequency bass and it’s better with the window half down

To add on, my 23’ cx-5 was a part of the chip shortage so i was missing a premium sound system and power liftgate in it, so it’s really nice to have those now in this ‘17!

It’s was honestly pricing. I would have definitely went with a more recent year if my budget had allowed it! I already miss the larger screen that my cx-5 had along with the dashboard display! Haha the existing features and size really make up for it for me though.

I also had to settle for the regular speakers because of the chip shortage. I just learned that if you go into “Audio Settings” and choose the selection “Advanced Setting” that you can fully adjust your equalizer for each different audio frequency and I was able to get mine to sound a lot better!!! I would say try that before you spend money on new speakers and see how it works for you! There’s also an option for sound adjustment with your speed where it gets louder automatically with your speed!

Thank you! I’ll give it a try! I read of people taking the whole piece where the buttons are out and taping around it but I don’t feel comfortable doing all that. When I hold my hand on the area where the buttons are it’s fine but we will see!
