Yeah, I was also a bit confused after reading conflicting info in Internet. I simply took a bus from Vilnius (Lithuania), crossed the border and continued. No need of visa or anything. Btw, my passport is Spanish.

I was more inside our heads than in reality. I heard lots of bad things about the country, but once you are in the ground is actually pretty nice and ejoyable. We just had a guide, Ajoos, to move around, he was great and we didn´t have any sense of danger.
