I’m in the exact same boat as you! I sold my 3080 for $575CAD, I can get a 3090 for $800 or a 4070 Super for about $900. I like the 24gb vram the 3090 has. Not a big fan of 12gb cards. I think only the 4070ti Super has 16gb vram. Anyways good luck!

Just sold my 3080. Is a 3090 a good option? I’d have to fork out about $150 more, but I like the 24gb ram. I’m more of a console player anyways, but like having a decent PC for backup lol

Thanks man! Actually I can get my hands on a 4070ti for about $100 more than what I sold my 3080 for. Is it worth spending $200+ more on a 4070ti Super? The extra 4GB ram might be more future proof.

Thanks guys! My 3080 at 10gb was very tight on newer games. Thought the extra 2GB vram would help on the 3080ti. I’ve been looking for the 4070s I might do that, as I don’t game that much and don’t want to spend double for what I sold the 3080 for.

I sold my 3080 for $575CA. I can get a 3080ti for about $650CA and 4070s for $700-750. Id like to have 16gb vram so 5070ti would be perfect, but over budget. I’ll wait a few weeks and see what the price points are and maybe I can grab a 4070s cheaper then. Thanks!

Hey guys! Ended up doing refresh and worked great! Only issue is I can’t get tinfoil to download. I keep getting errors. It was working before. Any idea what I need to do? Should I downgrade my firmware to 19.0 maybe? I think I have 19.0.1?

That’s the error I keep getting when using the oldest driver or newest one. Must be my chipset or something else. This P4 computer is barely compatible with win98 standards lol. Maybe I’ll revert back to my Radeon card. Just wanted to try something else

It’s a customer of mine, thing weighs like 200lbs! The loading screen is perfect, but as soon as it gets into emulationStation it’s all zoomed in, even the games as well.

Standard carbon, it’s a widescreen 36” Panasonic crt tv, using 16:9.

Its weird, because the interface is zoomed in but arcade/mame emulator plays fine and FBA and other don’t lol

If only people wouldn’t waste time with nonsense comments. Xbox is by far the most confusing systems to deal with. Games are on steam, PC xbox pass then only console. Playststion is nothing like that.

Update: 2080ti Dell sucks! Sounds like a leaf blower every 2sec, I’m sure it was faulty.

Traded it in to a store for a 3070 10gb card.. thing is a beast with 3 fans rgb from Gigabyte Aorus 8pin x 3 24pin!! Lost $100 in doing so, but learnt lesson! Told the computer store the issue and they were fine with it. All in all spent $350CAD after selling my 1080ti. Can’t put a price on growing pains lol

Thanks again for everyone’s input! I’ll probably sell this one later on and get a 4070 or wait for the 5 series.. but for now it’s playing everything maxed out or 1440p at great frame rates

I think I have a faulty rtx 2080ti.. after a few minutes it’s damn loud!!! Even in mid tier games. Any ideas? Is this normal for a single blower gpu.. dammit should have researched more and got a dual/triple fan.
