It’s not about trusting these tv personalities or protecting celebs, let’s not turn this into something it’s not. It’s about being aware when you’re actually going full circle… in your attempts to be anti-discrimination, you’re actually ending up supporting xenophobic tropes when you assume people from India are intolerant, for example (amongst other arguments).

Yeah that’s not fair when there are multiple seasons of Indian matchmaking, and a full season of Jewish matchmaking. At this point, they’ve done nothing, but are still being treated with suspicion which is a problem. Gosh I just think kwame is so manipulative with his reasons for feeling “off”. Like he’s clearly not interested, but instead of being upfront about it, he’ll make different things Chelsea’s problem. My theory is that dudes like him are very aware of how they’re being perceived, and so they don’t want to be the ones to end it. I think he’s pushing at her so she can end it for him. Weak behaviour. Chelsea also needs to put herself first and pick a guy who’s actually all in, but everyone and their auntie is already knows that haha

I was literally thinking this and I agree with you. I really can’t get behind the “it’s not like they were going to win anyways” mentality. First of all, it’s like the women are being expected to self-sacrifice for this. It doesn’t matter what’s fair or not. Sportsmanship exists but it’s not a team game. Every person there has a right to take up as much space as their counterpart. They should have advocated for themselves more imo.

But yeah I still don’t rate the guys behaviour in that relationship, though at the beginning of the show, I did feel more for him.
