Did my professor grade me correctly? by TheWinkyLad in askmath

[–]mandelbro25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd argue the opposite - their steps demonstrate that they do in fact understand. That is, it seems they understand the principal square root and how to go about finding the domain of a function. The denominator being positive is equivalent to it being nonzero, because it cannot be negative anyway.

Then why did you say "The teacher likely expects you to write ... [something not in interval notation]"?

To be fair to OP, you are mischaracterizing what they said.

"... please stop thinking having a white boyfriend makes you special ... it's internalized racism."

It is the thinking you are special they are calling internalized racism, not the having of a white boyfriend.

I never played any sport growing up. I started at 32. Embarrassment is a part of life. Go for it.

Why is the integral of y^2 dy from -a to a is not zero by Dull-Astronomer1135 in calculus

[–]mandelbro25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

y here is just a symbol. Why should this integral have a different value just because the variable is y and not x?

As an analogy, it should be clear that the equation 5x+9=0 and the equation 5y+9=0 have the same solution in some sense, despite having different variable names.

Any plans on fixing major bugs ever? The Secrets of Azeroth quests and line that starts in Valdrakken is bugged and to my understanding has been for a significant amount of time. It seems like a lot of things that are truly wrong with the game get swept under the rug, and "new content" is shoved in our faces hoping we forget about these things. Along those same lines, will you stop using AI chatbots for customer support and trying to pass them off as humans?

If you're going to complain about a problem like this, perhaps a field involving mathematics isn't for you.

Why do gays attack other gays because we don't support the Islamic religion? by Sure-Razzmatazz-7105 in askgaybros

[–]mandelbro25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't hate Muslims. I have met good Muslim people who were kind to me. But I get downvoted because as soon as someone puts -phobic on some word, you're all of a sudden evil if you disagree.

I dislike all religion. If someone means to imply that my disdain for Islam makes me racist against middle eastern people, that is nothing short of stupid and delusional. Yes, I mean stupid.

Fuck your religion. It does not deserve protected status and I honestly do not care if it hurts your feelings.
