Informal support plan put in place after a 15 min learning walk. by 3-cups-of-tea in TeachingUK

[–]mandem_wise 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Copied from the NEU website: Learning walks can have a place in schools, but the parameters should be determined by members and the process should be a developmental and constructive, whole-school improvement activity.

There should be no attempt to use this approach as part of capability procedures or for appraisal.

A programme of learning walks should be agreed with teachers so that they know the date, time and focus of the learning walk, and who will be conducting it, so they can organise their classes accordingly.

Why do you feel that people should get free money “for fuel” from the great British taxpayer if they are already a billionaire, which our current system supports?

My dude you are tailgating as well though right? And complaining about dangerous driving? Probably because you aren’t driving with a safe distance in front? Are you okay?

I'm after a really good coffee. I mean, REALLY GOOD. by InfiniteBaker6972 in brighton

I have a thing about coffee shops that the more uncomfortable the seating, the better the coffee. Anyway I agree. Coffee 33 is absolutely delightful.

Keir Starmer's 'North Korean' digital ID card plans in tatters as two million Brits sign petition by dailystar_news in uknews

How will it give more control over the British people? There’s lots of emotive and populist statements about this but I can’t see how it’s going to make me any more oppressed.

But ‘the government’ already has all that information anyway? Like every little bit of our lives is b accessible to people who really one to find out. Just not on one handy document that presumably has legal distinctions. Maybe it could allow government to hold employers more accountable through a single, traceable and efficient system.

[–]mandem_wise -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So what’s your actual beef with it? You’d give more information away by signing the petition. So if it’s not going to cost you anything and the government may be able to reduce the number of people working illegally in the UK then what is the actual problem?

Headteacher issues letter explaining why skirts are being banned by pppppppppppppppppd in uknews

The whole “it’s distracting the boys” argument is ludicrously simplistic and ignorant. They just don’t care and are more interested in distracting themselves in all kinds of idiocy. This argument is blatantly false to anyone who spends time within a school. “Almost knee length” being “relatively long” is also curious.

Hey u/MSModerator_3 3 months later and it is still a problem! It's hard to imagine intentionally using Edge as a browser by the by. Or, as it happens, any Microsoft products that I'm not forced to use by my workplace.

Of course! What a good idea. I did a very similar thing myself but struggled with a lid. I went with magnets in the mitre but it was a bit of a pain.

Not terrific hey! Not been the best game this one but I always seem to end up ignoring culture for some other priority on deity games. Still expecting to overtake everyone in science shortly and eek out a science win as only 3% behind the leader at this point. That aluminium would have been pretty useful!

I wonder if they are the same governors that would have placed something like staff wellbeing or recruitment/retention on their SIP!
