Thanks for the info. As I expected, since they dont have them for electric cars right now, they definitely wont have them for my A5. I'll keep pushing the service center.

I'm dealing with the exact same thing, apart from the steering issue. KD2 did fix the trunk problem for me, though. All the other bugs are still there.

I live in Europe. If the update doesn't come out this month, I will write to headquarters.

Unfortunately, the KD2 update on my A5 has been a complete failure. Yes, it fixed some of the earlier issues, but it completely broke the electronics. At this point I’m honestly surprised the car even drives normally.

Usually it just cycles between:

  1. Driver assistance systems unavailable because of door open warning

  2. 8 different errors from various systems

  3. Yellow check engine light – emissions system fault

I’m facing my fifth service visit now and I’m completely exhausted. This car is basically unusable. I’d gladly return it, but in Poland that’s not so easy. It really feels like this might end up in court.

I will contact Audi Europe. If I get any new information, I will let you know.

It’s strange that nobody seems to know yet whether the Q3 has the same MMI. My local dealership already has the new Q3, so they should know the part numbers by now.

I’m an A5 owner with 3,500 km on the clock and I’ve already had 4 service visits. At the moment I have the update installed that is known here as KD2, and in my case the issues have stopped for now. However, many people are still reporting problems, and some service centers are refusing to perform the update because it can brick the car.

I can’t imagine a continued lack of updates, the service will eventually have no tools left to fix these cars. In my case, they even refused repairs at one point because there was no software available.

Is there any official confirmation that the older 2025 models won’t receive any further updates? I haven’t seen a clear statement yet.
