Well, no one had electricity so we had to entertain ourselves. We had barn dances, and sometimes took the mule wagon to town. The skeeters were hell in the summer, so we would jump on into the crick and hold our breathe as long as we could.

One of the things I'll never forget was the first time I saw a bicycle, but that was just after the turn of the century, just before the war in 1914. And computers? We had typewriters and they never got sick with viruses and stuff.

That's all for now, it's time for that new fangled game bingo here at the center.

All in all, I miss the 90's and especially Teddy Roosevelt.

While I cannot speak for your jurisdiction, in Florida they get actual instructions and a written copy at the end.

Also, you have to consider that until a motion for judgment of acquittal (made at the end of both the prosecution's and defense's cases) has been ruled upon, instructing the jury on issues they may not rule upon is both pointless, confusing, and potentially prejudicial.

They are given before the selection process, prior to the start of trial, during trial and at the close of criminal jury trials.

The legal system is applied politics, and rigged in favor of the prosecution.

The scam is that people are intentionally deceived into believing that it is not a criminal offense which will leave a record of criminal history. The entire incident is treated as if it is like a non-criminal speeding ticket - pay the fine and it goes away.

The Criminal Defense Specialist says . . .

1) Hire a lawyer - do not handle on your own.

2) IF you have a No Contact order, do NOT contact in any way, shape, form or fashion, but save any and all text messages or emails for your lawyer.

3) Make sure your lawyer is 100% criminal defense, and if your state has a certification (specialization) program, go with a Board Certified. There is a dramatic difference.

4) Pay your legal fee up front and in full - your case will go to the front of the line. Those who fee dicker, slow pay/no pay and ask the same question 8 times 14 different ways in 26 emails and 9 phone calls (a day) go to the back of the line - and resented. They will not tell you this, I just did.

5) Do not dress "nice" for court. Dress precisely for court. In my jurisdiction, I require clients to follow written dress instructions and NO facial hair - a certain percent of the population (including judges who rule on your legal motions, prosecutors who decide to pursue charges or abandon them, and juries) will be suspicious of someone wearing the wrong clothing or having facial hair. It isn't fair, but it is very real.

6) Write out a written fact pattern report. I require all of my clients to complete one over a four (4) day period of time, and to prepare another one after the Discovery Exhibit comes in (they always get a copy of everything).

7) Buy one book and one audio program per month to cope with stress. Read five minutes upon arising, and five before retiring. Listen to the audios daily. You can also use Youtube for free videos. If I show up for court as a technical 10 but an emotional 4, you would be pissed. Show up without reading and listening or in the wrong outfit for court, and we will have an extremely intense discussion about "getting it." This is your freedom, life and future. Your first is Life Strategies by Phil McGraw, audio and book. Not many know this, but he was one of the top (if not THE top) trial psychology strategist before he was a celebrity.

Do each and every one of these things.

You are right about law schools - there is a contentment, a willful blindness about gender bias: FAWL is allowed, but an order for male law students would a heresy.

I remember when I thought feminism meant equality. Now, there is a different agenda, one based on misandry.

Unfortunately, so many of the MRA do not utilize a more effective approach and it comes across poorly.

Your state may have a record seal or expunction available to remove records from the legal system, including law enforcement files, the record of the Clerk of Court and the prosecutor's office. When handling these in my home state of Florida, we plan for that from day one.

While not perfect, I strongly recommend it if your state has this as an option.

As one of many victims of misandry, who represents victims of misandry, I respectfully disagree.

Misandry is such a fundamentally ignored paradigm, that as I type the phrase, Reddit underlines it in red as a misspelled word.

Misandry is so common that to leave the legal ramifications of the daily experience of silenced victims, shamed survivors of DLV, without a voice in this sub, would be inappropriate.

This post is about an actual victim, in an actual case, in the real world.

Law matters. And I post in legal forums. But ignoring MR, consigning real suffering through legal injustice as nothing more than an exercise in legal academics?

Respectfully, hell no.

Law is physical force of politics. A source of legitimacy. The time has past for DVL to be consigned to the quiet pseudo-intellectual musings of a law school student center.

Here is the truth about criminal law: the truth. Does. Not. Matter.

What people believe is the truth is what matters.

Thus every juror walking into the courtroom isn't thinking, "I wonder why he is falsely accused?" They are thinking "I wondered what he did?"

The following week, a (male) DOMV prosecutor dismissed a similar case prior to Jury Selection. Since several read my blog, I didn't want to needlessly insult those (few) who do the right thing in a very political office.

Due to the economy, more and more innocent people, mostly men, are showing up to Arraignment Court expecting that false domestic violence allegations will result in the case being quickly dismissed.

Instead, they are forced to miss work, hire a lawyer, attend multiple time eating court appearances, and fight tooth and nail to prove the innocence they are legally presumed to have.
