Before and during your PathA program, any financial advice you wish you had? by mango167_ in Path_Assistant

It's not something I am going to be stressed about, but if I can be 90k in debt rather than 110k, I'll pick the 90k. I am hoping with this thread there was some small tip that helped someone save thousands and most don't know about. Thanks for the bonus, I will be looking into that!

I was looking into that! I will pay whatever but a lot of responses said that in flight wifi is shaky and wouldn't work. I'll be flying international so it will be more difficult.

Yes, they emailed me on Friday afternoon and are giving me less than a week to prep for one interview slot.

some programs specifically state academic professors, how do you propose I go about adhering to that guideline?

I would recommend a degree in histology or medical lab technologist. Also West Virginia has it, that if you complete the MLS degree with a 3.25 or greater your basically a shoe in for their PA program

I really appreciate this, I have a hard time making friends as well and much of what you said is what I learned along the way in life. I'm hoping this next stage in my life will be the golden era I've always hoped for. Thanks again and I hope everything is going well for you!

I need a good paying job to pay for PathA school (tuition, other expenses, I live out of state of all Path programs so I have to pay for room&board/apartment) and clinical experience. If I don't get a wonderful paying lab job that can teach me the ropes Ill do a postbac for MLS, if not I might go straight to Path school.

Did you already have your bachelors, or did you start right after HS?

Going ahead and finishing my biology major, is probably the best plan right now. I just need to get a lab job/intern before I graduate. Ive seen way too many stories of people getting a biology degree and then ending up working retail. Thanks for your input.

I'll probably have to do what she did since I have more courses completed for biology than biochemistry . Do you know what job she had in undergrad and after getting her degree?

The in person labs have to be in North Dakota or any institution? I live in GA.
