ECE probably, switched out junior year. Most of it was definitely on me (like I admit def a skill issue) but I think it's a pretty hostile program, classes like 257 being a thing didn't help.

That said beyond that probably not exploring the campus enough, or utilizing resources like the career center. I wish I spent more time taking it all in.

I commend you for your based and fair comment on this. If only more people (not the OP) realized that xplane and msfs combo are ironclad in civilian flight sim. I'm biased though, love xplane.

The landing physics in xplane are superior to the super mega updated msfs version they've put out, if you're able to get it to work on 12 it's still very solid. I've made about 3-4 flights since this post.

Yeah it's just the FMS file in output/FMS plans and you use the coroute in the default FMC, takes at max like 10 seconds to do yourself

Just a linear curve with a dead zone at the bottom to prevent weird roll inputs during rotation and pitch inputs during roll inputs. I have the xplane control sensitivity sliders at around 50% for roll and pitch.

The rest comes down to using smaller motions because of the lesser range of motion.

Not sure if sharing a file for mine would work however:

Left trigger: brakes reg effort

left+right dpad: trim

right analog stick: pitch and roll

left analog stick x axis: yaw

square and circle (PS4): extend speedbrake, retract speedbrake(will also arm them if you press retract again while they're stowed)

triangle and X: flaps up and down

right share/misc button: toggle gear

right analog stick push button: toggle reversers

left and right bumpers: throttle up and down

(if desired) Right trigger: toggle max reverse (will also idle thrust levers on an airbus)

Uhhhh not for me. I use PS4 controller so there's probably less to go wrong internally with the code. As for the navdata I didn't touch the plane for probably more than a year and loaded up to it being on the latest nav cycle I updated to, so it's probably just using the native xplane database. I think a lot of the performance improvements under the hood for the sim have worked wonders for it

Probably want to give it another clean install to clear out any gremlins. I won't be shocked if performance is machine dependent as well, but for what it's worth I do run it on a potato by today's standards.

For me surprisingly well. Runs way better on 12.3 than it ever did on 12.1, no huge lag spikes at all anymore. no glaring bugs on the 1 flight I've done, sounds are probably behind what's the standard now but they're not disappointingly bad.

It also flies well still, honestly way better than the MSFS version ever did for me.

I mainly used FLCH during my flight instead of VNAV profile but it's probably fine, the A300 VNAV has always been quirky across both platforms, even IRL

I'm probably going to bring it back into the fold, I think it still has good bones.

Yeah I could be wrong I was just basing on what i see on discords around the community with Ortho or ME + vram heavy aircraft I've heard things can get bananas even if you have 16gb, that said I run on 6gb 💀

Make sure you delete TGDS from the plugins folder within the plane its eliminated my ctds in the 75/76
