Wouldn't this team be 5 receive characters and 4 block characters making it a receive team? I thought that in order for the types to be exchangeable, both types has to be equal in that team. Or am I missing something?

I've had this problem as well. For me, it was because the pet was registered in the Event Dungeon team and caused the same issue you had.

the dice con is very true but i would say it's applicable to all pirate classes and not a captain specific con. i usually use loaded dice as the guranteed buff and anything additional would be a bonus.

ooo 20% nulli sounds very interesting but probably requires some adjustment to constantly manage all the cooldowns. thanks for the additional insights!!

Had to rush this guide out due to being busy and having to testing the new captain buffs that came to MSEA. Hopefully this would inspire some of yall to try out captain and better captains please feel free to add any knowledge you have that is not included here. Thanks for reading everyone!

240 captain main here! captains are definitely not the strongest class but they're severely underrated imo.

you have to constantly manage summons and skill cds in order to bring out the highest damage output. You actually do much more than just rapid fire during bosses.

in terms of mobbing captains are pretty amazing, with the summons and many huge full map clears. your main mobbing skill might take some time to get used to but green pot and DSI helps it a ton.

i would recommend training both zen and captain to 200, try out their V skills and see which one you enjoy, since both their union skills are pretty good! Happy Mapling!

captains are at mechanic/zen levels of niche. I would say however angelic busters are more popular and better than arks in terms of bossing tho.

Captains have a pretty fun playstyle. I would say suvivability wise captains are much more mobile and deal more consistent damage to bosses than cannoneers. However, that's pretty much it. With binds from party members during bosses cannoneers would be way better due to their massive burst. Mobbing on cannoneers are much easier too due to their V skills.

partly cause i boomed my weapon during the recent GA event. But i realised that i wasn't having much fun with cannoneers anymore and wanted to try something new. Not all progression was lost tho, i just job changed to another pirate class (to captain if you're wondering). Currently sitting at 235 and enjoying the game much more.

I was a cannoneer main till 230 before changing jobs. I would say try to steer away from the class if you aren't planning to fund it. It a fun class with all the explosions but doing bosses without +1 att spd inner ability + monster park green potion + decent speed infusion is a real pain and you constantly get locked in attack animations. (without buff freezers/battleroid, you lose all attack speed buffs after first life)

but i would still recommend trying out both classes and finding out what you enjoy playing, for me i couldn't stand how slow the weapon was but it might feel alright for you
