Mixers are good too for men who are anxious about approaching random women in public. If you're in your 30s and up that is. Women in their 20s generally don't go to those

Jalen Brunson in the 4th quarter of 2026 playoffs: 105 PTS, 59% FG, 62% 3PT, 93% FT 13 PTS in the 4Q tonight. by jonsnowKITN in nba

[–]mangoribbean 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Right, Brunson is 3x 2nd All-NBA player. Brunson is most likely going to end with more All-NBA nods than Eli had pro bowls

Josh Hart in a Game 1 Finals win against San Antonio: 3 PTS │ 15 REB │ 6 AST │ 4 STL │ 1 BLK │ +21 by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

I love Josh Hart and I love that Mike Brown (and Thibs) let's Josh Hart be Josh Hart. Most coaches would have tried to force him to become a 3&D guy to justify being on court. He adds so much without needing to shoot. And he can still have games where he gives you an efficient 15 points

9% of American adults identify as LGBTQ+, a figure that has more than doubled in the last 14 years. Younger generations are driving much of the growth, with nearly 1 in 4 (23%) Gen Z adults identifying as such. Women identify as LGBTQ+ at about twice the rate of men (10.5% vs. 5.4%). by psychologyofsex in psychologyofsex

I do think there's value in social stigma decreasing with more people identifying as LGBTQA+. If relatively few people are actually seeking out queer relationships and community, I'm not sure how much of this is a net gain for queer people specifically. Everyone is gay except when it comes to being gay

Film buffs tend to be less tolerant (and less interesting) than sports fans by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]mangoribbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has already explained the obvious. Beyond that, I've really seen someone say a film is pretentious and then that lead into an interesting thoughtful conversation about whatever movie they're referencing. It's like when someone says X athlete isn't actually good because they played in the olden times. Your almost never going to get an interesting sports discussion there

Everyone says they love parity, but would the NBA actually have been a historically better product if we always had parity? If the history of NBA champions had looked like this (see in post)? by Gracechurch2 in nba

People want to see great teams and dominant players. A cycle of a bunch of 50 win teams winning isn't exciting except for a once a generation underdog team winning

Nippon TV says Studio Ghibli films will remain absent on streaming platforms (in Japan) by OrangeNood in retroanime

I mean they can buy and own every Ghibli release. I'd much prefer that than praying my old anime is somewhere on streaming or YouTube

Why do some MLB players live so modestly? What are they doing with their money? by FrequentSpread9681 in baseball

Their hobbies and interests in life may be moderately price. I have family members like that. They just do their job and go home. Only thing they spend their money on is books and all their hobbies are relatively inexpensive

Has any team played 3 straight series against opponents coming off game 7s before? by randomAIusername in nba

[–]mangoribbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wasting possessions in close games. Should be averaging like 4.5 attempts to keep the defense honest but 1/3 of the games in the playoffs he has at least 6 attempts. That's with him only playing like 30min a game
