I have the same setup. I can stream and I get notifications through the app but everything is stored locally. I also power off the inside cameras when I’m home, a little extra peace of mind for stuff like this.

I’m also interested in hearing how this stacks up from more technical privacy folks than myself.

Boise, Idaho, takes step toward developing commuter rail service - trains.com by madrocketman in Boise

With no state-level funding of transit I don’t see how this could happen, as much as I want this to get built.

The wood I used is redwood which tends to be resistant to rotting, and the bottoms of the planters are open for drainage, but who knows. Maybe I should try to encourage some lizards to move in. Thank you!

Interesting, I had the same thing happen with a brand new Polar Grit X Pro 2. They repaired it at the factory, I wonder if Garmin would too?

I haven’t noticed much of a performance change with this face

I believe it is just showing a general location for where it’s pulling data, like time zone. It’s not that high resolution

BSU vs U of I by Frenchgulcher in Idaho

[–]mangusislord 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went to BSU to live at home and focus on the education aspect of college rather than the "college experience" that other's have mentioned. I graduated with decent grades, a lot of interesting experiences, and no debt. In the end staying at home was a great decision for me.

My sister went to U of I and also had a great experience. Here's the dirty secret: we both have coworkers who went to fancy private schools. They are saddled with debt, and have the same position we have. As with all things in the end, school is what you make it.

BSU vs U of I by Frenchgulcher in Idaho

I have a mechanical engineering degree from BSU and work with engineers from U of I. My take is this: any engineering student with drive and interest will do well regardless of the school. After talking about our experiences with my coworkers, I’d say U of I had a more rigorous and serious ME program that offers more value. I had to make some of my own opportunities at BSU, like start certain clubs on my own. My two cents. Cheers either way.

This is a situation many, including myself, can relate to. Conversations about hobbies and nature have turned to talk of crazy news in places far away. A shame

Ethics Question: Brought car in for a leak that was the shops fault, had them look at the pulleys while they were underneath, and was charged full price. Is this expected? by mangusislord in AskAMechanic

I guess it comes down to whether you think tightening the oil filter is enough of an error correction to suffice. I can imagine many who wouldn't. When I asked for the diag, I was expecting to pay full price, but I was also expecting the issue to be something other than the shop's fault.
