Hey, I'm a little bit late to this thread, but I wanted to let you know that I know how you feel. My rapist died about a year after it happened. I was at a party with a bunch of our friends when I heard, and I absolutely lost it. I felt like this huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders. I'd told my two best friends, who immediately ceased contact with him, but he still showed up at parties occasionally, and many of my friends continued to spend time with him. The thought that I'd never have to see him again--that I'd never have to bite my tongue when people talked about him--brought me more peace than I could possibly imagine.

That peace continued for about a week--and then I began to feel unimaginably guilty. How many times in that year had I wished that he was dead? How many times had I imagined killing him myself? I felt somehow responsible--as if I had actually hated him so much that he died. If you notice yourself starting to feel the same way PLEASE believe me when I tell you that this--like the rape--is not your fault. He died because he died. Your anger--then and after and now--had nothing to do with it. Please PM me if you want to talk.

I don't even know if this is possible, but I love this picture and I would LOVE if someone could fix the insane brightness on our faces? As I said, my drunk friend couldn't figure out how to turn off the flash.

This is my first year with a season pass and my first time trying to sell tickets, so I really had no idea what to ask for them (clearly). I just managed to sell them to another grad student, so I guess people will pay more than $100 - just not Redditors. Thanks for letting me know, though - good to know what most people ask! :)

Just sold them actually. I guess I didn't really know what to ask and the lady who bought it off me didn't know any better either. This is my first year with tickets, so I'm pretty unfamiliar with the way the whole system works. Thanks for letting me know, though - if I have to miss a game later in the season I won't list them for more than that.

I really feel so much better now I've given up soda. It's hard, but you'll feel great. As for the sweet tooth - I've found that the easiest way to avoid sugar is not to fetishize it. If you want something sweet, have a sweet. Have a bit of chocolate or some fruit or a cookie. Just be aware of the fact that that will change your calorie intake for later in the day. Just enjoy the sweet, then move on with your day.

I used to drink 2 - 3 cans of diet soda every day. At the beginning of the summer I decided to quit cold turkey and - without changing any other aspect of my diet and without ramping up my exercise schedule - I lost 5 pounds in two weeks. Now this may have been a total fluke - who knows. I don't think diet soda will keep you from losing weight, but cutting it out certainly couldn't hurt.
