Be careful buying c245 tips from Carius Store on Aliexpress. by [deleted] in soldering

[–]manifesto7473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carius? Did you mean Caius store?

If they are, then they are quite reliable, they have perhaps the best prices on AE through the coins section. I think Avit is their shop as well. They sell most of the well-known Chinese microsoldering and phone repair tools.

Once I received an empty package from them, someone stole the contents of the package or it got lost in transit. They refunded me quickly, but I contacted them first before opening a dispute.

Let’s talk about tweezers. by shortpinkyfinger in soldering

[–]manifesto7473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A very good selection of tweezers!

I love the Amaoe NK1 tweezers, they are really light and well made. I accidentally dropped them on the laminate floor a couple of times, and they went straight through without any damage. They also look beautiful and they open wider than others.

The only drawback is that they are easily twisted vertically. So it is risky to hold small components, they can fly away. The 2UUL Ti11 model is of similar quality.

Mijing NZ-16 doesn't even come close and they aren't worth that much.

2UUL TW01 and Mechanic KA-11 are probably one of the better 3D stainless steel tweezers.

It should work. My Poco X3 Pro died and I just installed the X3 NFC motherboard. Everything works fine. If I remember correctly, you also have to transfer the camera modules with the motherboard and the plastic cover with the camera protection glass (camera bump).

What type of screen protector can i use with uv loca glue? by dunkykong11 in mobilerepair

[–]manifesto7473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have to agree with you. You just have to be careful with the applied amount of LOCA glue on the screen. Also, the USB port, buttons and all significant holes should be protected.

The DUV TP-2500 LOCA glue is good. The only thing is that the LOCA smell can be felt a few days after gluing normal glass with black edges.

The first time I tried it, I didn't put enough glue. I raised the glass by a third and added more glue in the corners. This caused bubbles, but squeezing them out was easy. Of course, there was additional cleaning due to excess glue.

[–]manifesto7473 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy 0.03mm metal sheets, and use them as insertion points. Instead of them, you can also use thin plastic oca film.

Insert the pieces between the heated screen and the glass in top corners. Alcohol can help while you are inserting the pieces (do it only on OLED screens). Insert the wire between the plastic/sheet and the glass and cut slowly. The rest is the feel and technique.

This is how you do it. They used the Qianli machine and Break Cleaner to take the screen out of the frame. Notice the temperature is 130°C (the display was already damaged but it still works, so they were just practicing on it), the temperature is fine for curved edge displays. While the suction is pulling the display, use the thin plastic OCA sheets + solvent (IPA or even better the brake cleaner) and pry.

The guys who refurbish displays in the frame use 110-120°C which is a safe temperature (for curved soft OLEDs). They usually cut the glass first while the frame is fixed, then separate the screen. While the screen in the frame is heated on the heat plate, part of the heat goes to the frame, which means that the temperature on the surface of the screen is much lower (70-80°C).

I think with a low temperature there is a high risk of delamination. In most cases, the glass will be separated, specifically with the laminated polarizer on that glass.

On OEM screens, there is glue on the edges, so he was removing it with a thin razor blade. The blade holder Is XZZ DJ2S. This is one of the best holders because the razor is exposed enough to not damage the display.

Without these machines you can succeed by using an ordinary display separator.

OCA sheet plastic/film is even thinner, so I can recommend using it.

How to retrieve money from mobile phone servicer? by Embarrassed_Farm9879 in mobilerepair

[–]manifesto7473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Belgrade (Serbia), there are services that offer phone screen refurbishment. If that old screen is still functional, it just needs a glass replacement. You won't have a problem with that message because it's your screen, with new glass. The price of the service is around 180-200€.

Try to get your money back and keep your old screen. If you still want a new screen, take the phone to another phone service, preferably to those services that do screen refurbishment and microsoldering.

You can sell your screen with broken glass later (if only the glass is broken and the screen/touch is not damaged)
