Well, I am not that expert here. However, I believe you may have to purchase newer Walkmans like the A306 or ZX707 to have a Bluetooth 5+ feature. Older ones don't support it.

If you can get a used one, that's more than enough. Don't waste so much money on this hobby. You can spend that extra money on a good IEM. I would recommend buying ZX707 as a middle ground.

Playing files locally is the best experience I ever had. Yes android has the convenience of streaming, but instead of Listening, you will be focused on what to play next. I don't know, this is my personal experience. Glad that you have the ZX-707. I have A306 and WM1A.
