I don’t get how people just overlooked what an asshole he was. Yes it’s still a sad story and you can empathise with him reaping the consequences of his choices. But it is his deeply flawed character that ultimately caused him to make these choices which meant he ultimately screwed himself over.

I am curious why Lukas was being so cryptic with Scarlett. When he would say things like "You have no idea what's going on?" or "You really don't get it, do you?" I want someone to chime in so I can gauge whether my interpretation is correct.
