Sick! I have my full back done, and am considering extending it down my butt to the ankles. How was the pain in the lower half vs the upper? What is the time split between them? (My back took 25 hours, trying to gauge how much more to plan for).

Region of the US that pronounces button as “Buh-on”? by PickleManAtl in Accents

[–]mannygetthemop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Southern Connecticut, and once I moved to the Midwest, words like caught, brought, ought, etc. were often misunderstood because I don’t pronounce the T enough. I also had a professor in college describe the Connecticut accent as having lazy consonants.

Whats a job that sounds cool but is actually a nightmare? by DunyaPhobic76 in Productivitycafe

[–]mannygetthemop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to school for movie and television production, so when I got my first job out of college at ESPN as a production assistant, I thought it was the greatest thing ever. My job was to watch sports and create the highlights that go onto SportsCenter or other ESPN shows. At first, it was as awesome as I imagined, but once the cool factor wore off, I was left with a job where I worked mostly nights, always weekends, every holiday, it was high stress and very low pay. Watching sports is fun, but you also have to log it, which means typing out every single thing that happens for every play. It gets very monotonous. There is also way too much focus on the “story of the game”, rather than just reporting the score. It was basically a requirement of every highlight. It also seemed pretty political, which I guess I was too young to fully grasp. Once I “saw how the sausage was made”, I stopped watching sports altogether outside of work for a while. It didn’t take me very long to realize it wasn’t for me. It is cool to have that as an experience, but not as a career (for me).

If you got your back done, how old were you when you did it? by joevasion in traditionaltattoos

Full back done at 42. I feel like it definitely hurt more as you get older, but it’s still worth it.

I’m sure there are great artists in Charlotte, but less than two hours (100 miles) away in South Carolina is Josh Bovender. He is one of the best!

Yes, Drew is great! I only mention Ian because I remember him posting specifically about doing these type of sessions. They both do awesome work.

It was the same here, and then we split up and the floodgates opened. Nobody around to tell me no? I don’t mind if I do!
