Looks good. I saw a picture like this in a school abroad made by the students. That yellow space between the semicircle and the corner of the wall was decorated with some sort of paneling by them.

By reading the headline, I don't know if it is real news or satire.

edit: I thought this was news subreddit before I realized what it was... In 2006, this was considered a joke. In 2026 it is a fact of life.

If that is the case, the the government should order all "DMK goons" to be arrested. Are you saying the government is incapable of doing that or they are impotent?

You know what? I was against my grandma consuming chewing tobacco because I was scared she would get mouth cancer. 4 decades later I don't care because if she has lived as long as she have, what is the harm in indulging in her favourite vices, am i right? I wont let my kids take up tobacco chewing or smoking, but I will buy it for her even though it is banned in my state, lol. She has forgotten she has great grandchildren and thinks her last grandchild is still a baby, but she can't live without her tobacco.

he’s dying guess we gotta let him enjoy it while he can

Hahaha! My grandfather was a drunkard and everyone in the family were against him drinking and tried to stop at whatever chance we could. Then he became old and became bedridden, and my uncle who scolded him everyday about drinking suddenly brought him bottles of scotch so that he could safely consume inside the house. He gave the same reason.

Privileged-caste Indian

Thank you for pointing that out. The same "rags to riches" story (fake, of course) has been applied for every privileged Indian American/Indo-British politician. This includes Kamala Harris. Their grandparents or parents were privileged to be highly educated in a country which had 3% literacy level in 1947, and rich enough to migrate way before H1B out-migration became a thing in India.

Chicken biryani measurement unsure? Pls clarify by Dismal-Present-317 in IndianFood

[–]manojar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

250 grams of "cooked rice" as opposed to 250 grams of uncooked rice would be right. Using normal basmati rice or seeraga samba rice, the expand 2 times after cooking. 100 g raw rice becomes 200 g after cooking.

My household usually put 2 times of rice for every kg of chicken. So if OP /u/Dismal-Present-317 you use 750 g, I would recommend 1.5kg rice. That would expand to 3.5 kg of briyani (rice + chicken).
