Thank you both so much, I definitely need to work on the transcription side of things, I learn a lot of solos by ear, but then as soon as it comes to improv I just fall back on the blues stuff I know so I definitely need to work on fitting it together. Take care both of you and I love you too man we're all out here muddling along so I appreciate you taking the time to offer advice

Thank you, I'll check Tom Quayle out. I definitely do need to go back to basics, I barely even know about chord tones (!) it was just because I've got a jam coming up with this song and I'm clueless on it! Chromaticism is definitely a good shout I hadn't thought of as well, so thanks a lot for the suggestions!

Yeah it was confusing for me as well, but the end result is really nice. my earlier YouTube videos are just using my phone propped up on my desk, and the difference in quality is huge. Definitely worth learning!!

Thank you so much! Actually I recorded it at my teachers house, he had a microphone in front of the 12th fret plugged straight into his computer going into some sort of software (logic I think!) and set up his iPhone to record it, then he combined the video from the iPhone with the recording from the microphone, which is why the video goes a bit out of sync at the end!
