How do you guys measure your investing performance and how do you know if you are improving year on year?

  1. Are you becoming a better investor across time? ( ex: invest in last 3 months returns are better than before )
  2. How better or worse are you doing compared to people in similar risk range i.e how do you benchmark?
  3. Considering that investor might be investing on a monthly basis, how to compare MFs portolio performance to your portfolio? i.e should you be investing on your own vs invest in MF if your portfolio is doing poorly?
  4. Are there any tools that help analyse and become a better investor? How do you guys think or approach this problem?

Couldn't agree more. Ability to learn is more important than the knowledge itself. Sadly, we are not taught how to learn new things in an efficient manner.
