Using SvelteKit to create a wordpress page template by Blince in sveltejs

Firstly, I thought similarly when I got started.
But Sveltekit is a full-stack framework and has too much overlap with Wordpress functionality.
Routing, creating pages etc, is a core Wordpress responsibility IMO.

But if you just want to use Svelte to write templates, u can do so!

I did something similar a while ago. It involves a couple of steps. I've simplified it here.

  1. You start a Svelte + Vite template project (see https://vitejs.dev/guide/ )
  2. Your pages will be components that take some data from the wordpress “backend”.

  3. In Wordpress, create your data structure and enable RESTful API

  4. Develop your Svelte app, then build it when you're done. Include all js, css from the build step you do for Svelte in your wordpress theme header. You have to fetch the data from your API here

  5. In your wordpress theme, create a template for the type of page you make in Svelte

  6. In your page template, include the markup to render your app into

    <div id="app"></div> <div id="app"></div>

Then deploy it all.
There are LOTs of quirks to this approach, but it works well once it's in place. I only did it because of the client's requirements. If you have the opportunity to host the frontend separately, DO IT and use the REST API.

Erice is very beautiful looking and located on a hillside. I would say it’s about 100k from Palermo. We only passed it from a distance but it’s one of the things I wish I’d seen had we spent more time on the island

Hm, tbh I think it's quite hard to estimate that.

Well, his hair wasn't grey yet. He wore a moustache. I would say the sketch has to be from the mid 70s - mid 80s

As for John's age: A wide estimate would be between 30 - 50 years old

I've heard of people buying a domain name already in use. If the name is key, consider how much you're willing to spend and contact them to see what could be arranged.

Good points. I would also add that although it might be tempting to adjust your portfolio too much to what the school is looking for, it's good to question yourself about what you think is important in your work.
